Simply stunning...330GT 2+2 is top of my list of family cars, and this one clicks a few more boxes with italian gauges. Long gone are the values from 2012 that were within my ownership range. Guess all I could do now is offer 10% of asking price for a one year "borrow" limiting miles to about 1000 GLWS
That's too cheap,Rick....going on what the market has been doing. As you're aware,I sold mine in April last year, for about 35% under your ask,and was told I sold MINE too cheaply! Re the books and tools, did you actually have any,I haven't followed vintage since I sold mine, couldn't bear the thought of bringing up old wounds, mentally. I don't think it will last long....GOOD LUCK,mate.
thanks Simon - I may yet pull the plug on a sale; she's really running well and a joy to drive. Starting her yesterday, after the electric pump stopped ticking, turned the key and it caught instantly and settled immediately into a relaxed idle. Price? Advertised prices in Hemmings, Classic Driver, FML, etc. are mostly very high $300s. My guess is that the selling prices for these are more mid-$300s, so I think a realistic retail on mine would be $330-ish but I'm really more interested that it go to a good home and I can live with leaving 10% on the table as a buffer for the next owner. - rick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU09emXk2wk
I am intimately familiar with this car and it is stunning. It will not be here for long. Had I not already had one this would be sitting in my garage. Good luck with the sale.
Thanks Peter; it's never too late! I posted it here for a week before it will show up on Ferrari Market Letter because I've received a lot of help from the combined knowledge of those who posted on my thread, but I expect I'll have to wait until she gets wider exposure to people who are specifically looking to buy.
My wife Claudia doesn't really care much for cars, but her Italian heritage has kicked in after a couple of nice weekends running around in the 330 and she is now really rather smitten with Bianca's charms... Image Unavailable, Please Login
If anyone is interested, I listed my FAF reprint of an Early 330GT Spare Parts Catalog on eBay. I bought it years ago to use as a guide when I restored my 250GTE s/n 4905 as there was nothing printed for that model at the time. It has exploded drawings and part numbers for the whole car, engine and transmission included. Regards, Neil Tucson, AZ
If this car was in the US before, then it should be able to come into the US without duties given it's previous location here AND it's age. Just FYI. I brought my 400i back into the States from Vancouver in 2014.
thanks Brian - To the best of my knowledge my car has never been US registered. It has been registered in B.C. for at least the last 30 years and was originally sold in Belgium. BTW, I like your Alfa!
Ad is now in Hemmings online and will appear in the next print issue to be mailed at the end of November. - price is still the same, but as the next least expensive one on Hemmings is $55K more than mine, I'm beginning to think that the low price may actually be discouraging buyers who think there must be something wrong with the car for it to be so inexpensive!
As of Monday we've begun to advertise the car in Europe on the Classic Driver and Piston Heads web sites. There's a bit of good news/bad news about this as it has resulted in quite a few early morning calls as we are on the west coast! - LOL Also, I received an interesting email from someone who'd replied to the ad via a listing in Classic & Sports Car magazine which was a bit of a shock as I never placed an ad with them! I don't know if this is a result of being affiliated with one of the other sites or if they just picked it up on spec. Nice surprise though. I'll be interested in seeing if it will appear in the print mag at some point. We had a few hours of sun for a nice little Remembrance Day run - Image Unavailable, Please Login
will be interesting to see if this car brings estimate. - if so, I may have to consider moving my price up! 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series II | Gooding & Company
Told you^^^^^^^^^^^.eh Rick. I'm not the only one. Given that so many have been chopped up for replica's.
