As the title says, I'm looking to buy either a 355 or 360 with a manual (gated) transmission. That's really the only requirement I have.

    355:

If it's a GTS or GTB I would like to keep it under 80k. I know this limits me a bit but I'm not looking for a garage queen anyways. If it's a Spider, under 70k.

I don't really have any other requirements but stuff like valve guides, last major and service records will influence the price for me. I actually prefer a higher mileage car if everything has been sorted out with the records to prove it.

    360:

Either coupe or spider will do. If it's an earlier build model, I would prefer one that has had the variator and tensioner updates done already. If not, price will have to reflect it.

If someone finds one locally that's not on one of the big sites and I end up purchasing it, I don't mind paying a finder's fee!

Will let you know! When I started my search I thought if a clean GTB is around 80 I'd rather spend that money and get a 360. Well turns out 360s have gone up about 10-20k, at least in asking. I need to look for 360s a bit harder ; the only one I got very serious about sold 1 day after I contacted the guy.

I have a 2000 6psd euro spec 360 that's as mint as you could find. for the right price i'd let her go, and it would even include a full major service from my local specialist. My car is rosso corsa over black.

Since I'm in California, the only way that would work is if it has the CARB sticker on it. If so, I am interested. If not, not sure I can register it but you can PM me your VIN and I think I can check with whichever state agency handles that.

i've never even had the thing inspected in 5+ years as I rarely drive it and it has straight pipes and an aftermarket exhaust. I had a chance to see it the other day (keep it at my other house) and came to my senses and realized I'd be crazy to sell it for anything less than an absurd number so it's going to remain in my possession for many years to come.

Best of luck in your search if you find a manual now I'd grab it before we see 120k + pricing (probably wishful thinking on my part).

Thanks for letting me know. Yes I've noticed they're all mostly over 100k now, seems like the asking prices have jumped about 20k in a few months. Will be curious to see if they actually sell for those prices.

I was trying to keep it under 90k for a 360 so I might just have to focus on a 355 for now.

You know there just isn't anything to use for comparison (re: gated 360's) so any value is up for consideration as far as I am concerned. Visible Mid Engine V8, All Aluminum car, comfy, fast, engaging, sexy as all heck.

When I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a gated 360, manual GT3's were 40-50K less than now, as were manual 430's.

To me some upward price creep is to be expected, all things being equal.

I think once ferrari confirmed they never want to build a manual again people finally got the message. It's remarkable how much less f1 cars are. Ferrari just needs to build a manuals again and force customers to buy them and all gated cars will crash in value, which i doubt will ever happen.

Thanks for the link. I've seen that car before, I'm not looking for a project really but the price seems pretty fair.

You are correct. Manuals will not be built again.
