Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe 2 Door | eBay
well I guess I sold mine at the bottom of the market a couple years ago. OH well. Truly, good luck with the sale, I hope you get your asking price. And I'm sure 100's of other 360 owners here do as well. D
Great looking car. The challenge wheels are amazing, and the new owner needs to pull at least one of the titanium bolts just to hold it. The weight reduction is impressive.
Wow, very nice, did not know that these manual 6 speed are in similar price range as the CS. The challenge exhaust is available as an option on later built 2004 360. I had an '04 6 gated 360 spider with a factory challenge exhaust and it sounds so sweet much better then the Tubi, very similar to my current CS, making me regretted that I've sold it. GLWS!
I do not recall seeing THIS many deleted posts within any thread so quickly.....and posts by long-time/"known" frequent members? Money/pricing & the reaction created by such is a strange thing indeed! Nice looking example & glws, Jack
It has been entertaining. Based on the recent Hagerty pricing guide I have received two very solid offers. +50K for gated/coupe //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160501/179f22496abefa8c2f2d56849e819413.jpg
Thats the one that started the gated madness ….. Manual Ferrari 599 GTB sells at Amelia Island for almost $700k
^ I was in the audience that day and thought i might catch people sleeping and snag it for the low estimate. Which I think was $170k. Needless to say, that didn't work out for me.
Why didn't you bid on my red Carrera RS just a few lots earlier? To be totally honest, no one thought it would sell for the low estimate of $200k. The RM guys pulled me aside and asked what I thought it would go for and I said just above the high estimate of $275k - maybe $350k. They thought it might too. Then in the two days prior to the auction, the car got a ton of attention and everyone knew it would be a big number. But by "big number" I mean $400k. No one saw $680k. And FWIW, that car did not kick off the manual transmission fever. It was building heavily prior to that. If you weren't paying attention, however, that would be car that tipped you off.
Your RS was stunning. Way out of my league! Glad it brought you a big number. I was not really following the stick market at the time. My wife is a big 599 fan and I much prefer a gated car, so it was a good fit for us. Hope the winning bidder is driving her the hell out of her and not letting it sit it the garage.
You are not alone. However, a lot of people who were actively looking for stick 575m, F430, 360, and of course 599 cars noticed the prices climbing since the previous summer. Dealers were paying more to get them. Case in point: remember the delta bravo that came on here complaining that Miller bought back his stick 599 (that he had owned for less than a year) at a substantial profit but somehow ripped him off? Well, that sale was well before the auction. Prices on sticks had been going up for some time and dealers were paying up significantly to get their hands on them. Casual observers, however, would have to wait until the black car sold before they realized it. Thanks for the RS comments, too. It was a stellar example of an RS and it was a great car for me in the years that I owned it.
Yes, I remember that bit of drama regarding the Miller car. I sold a very nice silver, 1997 993s that I loved for many years...right before the market moved! Still miss that car. Now, if only someone would offer me $600k for my gated 360 spider!
Just keep waiting you never know. I just picked one up and never can understand why I sold the first 3 I had.
