I am the second owner of this awesome 458. Not only does it look like it just rolled out of the factory, but it performs and operates flawlessly. I have a full service history of this car.

Most recent important services include;
Yearly service at Newport Ferrari was performed on 8/17/2016. It was approximately 200 miles ago. We have all heard of several concerns about the early 458’s. One, being the all expensive gearbox replacement. This car got it replaced in August of 2016. No need to worry about that issue with this car. It was almost $20K! Also, to the best of my knowledge, it did not get the software upgrade that stifles the beautiful music that this car's exhaust makes. Obviously this car looks like one of the most beautiful modern day Ferrari’s ever made, but it might be one of the last ones that sounds like it!

October 2016 new xpel clear bra installed and paint color correction performed.
the paint has this "wet look" to it. Absolutely stunning!

January 2017 airbag recall replaced along with factory electrical codes upgraded at Newport Ferrari. Most enthusiast are familiar with the airbag recall done at the end of the last model year made, but Ferrari has agreed to fix them all since day one.

PPI INSPECTIONS by Certified Ferrari specialist welcomed. CarFax is clean. There has been no accidents. Vehicle is in pristine condition. Always garaged and detailed monthly whether it needed it or not! I have both keys, cover, all books and manuals that came with the car. This is a great entry into the wonderful world of a 458!

Regarding Floydison question about the gearbox;
I bought the car as a second owner from Ferrari of San Francisco. I negotiated in a Ferrari Power warranty into the price. As I never owned a 458 before, (I was upgrading from my F355), I wasn't to please with the way it shifted from first to second. It gave a jerk to it and it just didn't feel right to me. I thought maybe I wasn't shifting it at the proper RPM's. In the auto mode it was fine. Those familiar with the power warranty, a full inspection of the car must be done by an authorized dealer before Ferrari agrees to sell you the warranty. It cost $4500. Needless to say, a few days before my warranty was to expire, I brought the car in for its annual service. The mechanic agreed with me that it wasn't shifting properly and contacted Ferrari. There is no fix for the gearbox. I was told most of it is computer controlled. They agreed to replace with a brand new one. It has been an amazing difference in performance since then! The car is located in Laguna Niguel.

ELP JC ,Thanks for helping clarifying the transmission issue. As I also feel having a replacement is a huge plus! As far as the clear bra is concerned, its over the complete front including the mirrors and lights, but not the windshield. The rockers back do not have a clear bra.
Also , there is a medium tint around all the windows including the windshield and the rear passenger window. (Not the glass the covers the motor) Lastly, I had a new battery put in the car last week.

Two weeks ago I brought my car into the dealer for a new battery. I was informed there is a very recent side air bag recall on most all 458's. I had mine replaced.

 

Yes this car was sold in late February
