1986 Ferrari Testarossa Flying Mirror Rosso Corsa with Tan Interior. Chassis 66355 27k miles Just finished a $28k engine out service by Dave Helm at Scuderia Ramparte. Fuse box upgraded Price Includes: Luggage with slip covers Tool kit Fuse kit Owners Manual Car cover Leather binder with records since 1987 with proper engine out services. Car is currently located in Erie Colorado at Scuderia Ramparte. Per Dave this is easily a top 5% car. Body: - Excellent original condition. Last owner was a NCRS top flight Corvette judge and painted the lower red. I personally like it. It's $940 to paint it back to the original black. - Shows excellent. There my be a couple of very small rock chips on the front but overall presents very well. Interior: 9/10 - Any shrinkage has been addressed. - AC blows cold. - All gauges work Mechanically: 9.5/10 - Runs great/shifts nice. - Everything noted was addressed at time of service. - Borla exhaust installed. Other: - The secondary air-injection pump canister is being replaced in the engine compartment for cosmetic reasons. - The hood struts do not keep the hood up in cold weather. This car has always been loved and cared for in a climate controlled setting. Asking $137,500 or best offer. I'm located in Tulsa OK and would be happy to meet a serious buyer in Erie CO to view the car. Additional info or pictures at request. http://vid151.photobucket.com/albums/s145/willi44225/IMG_0229_zps3pg6hggd.mp4
Guys, thanks for the inquiries. To answer a few questions. Yes I'm ready to sell. I am very open to reasonable offers. Yes I will consider interesting trades. I have extensive history on the car including all engine out services performed. Yes it has the spare tire. The picture below are pre-service pictures and should show how clean the car is. Just IMHO, you'll do much better if you paint the lowers back to black, and put the rest of the car back to stock (e.g. take the horse off the front grill, remove the chrome horse on the rear grill and put the flat black one back on, etc.). That will yield max value. Beyond that, if it helps, #65247, my higher mileage, but completely stock, equally well maintained '86, in Silver over Tan, brought $154k plus commissions at Amelia Island last year. I think the market has softened materially since then, but I still think you should break the 6 figure barrier if you restore all the stock bits. Again, please, just my opinion, no disrespect intended.
I like the painted lower rockers. My 1995 348 Spyder came with painted rockers from the factory. Later 512TRs came with factory painter rockers.
To Whom It May Concern, The TR looks very nice and I could be interested. I am not fluent on Ferrari Chat and I hope this email will come back to my regular email [email protected]. I welcome anything you could tell me about the TR's history, both owner and service. Many thanks in advance. Best, Tom P.
Thanks Guys! If possible please shoot me a PM or give me a ring before discussing particulars with Dave or Jason. I just want to be very respectful of their time to make sure we can get to a deal. There have been a few interesting trade proposals and a couple of attempts but no dice. I'm serious about selling the car and if you're realistic I will be also.
Ok, where's the market on this thing? At $120k that's like buying a $90k "project" that needs work? This car needed nothing before the engine out and has always been well loved/documented. Unfortunately I'm just done.
Unfortunately the market has receded some. $90k projects are more like $65-75K projects now. I have personally passed on one of these projects(needed major, needed some interior/exterior things sorted) in Tulsa coincidentally, asking $75k. I believe it might be still for sale some 6 months later listed locally... just FYI.
Pretty certain I know the car. It'll never really be a car someone wants to purchase for a collection... just a good/fun driver. I'd venture to say values between these two cars would be almost double when you compare documentation/originality after values return.
Might want to try to market the car a bit better. Pictures aren't very good and difficult to click through all of them. Listing on other sites other than FChat will help too.
Just hang' in there Greg! This car is a masterpiece in very good shape because of you so be patient! Youl'll be rewarded.
