Great looking car, but probably not "street legal" in the US. I have mine titled/tagged (in FL), BUT unlike this one it is an original US-version 348CH with a US VIN.

In Europe "348/355 Challenge" was a kit sold directly by Ferrari to upgrade the original cars and to take part at the "Challenge circuit" of years '90/2000. Do not exist a car with a VIN as "348 or 355 Challenge" marked.

Nice looking car. Not that many 348 challenge out there that raced in the series. Around 125 in the world...

Since it's a 1992, perfectly legal to import to the US as street legal depending on the month proeuction date. Has to be at least 25 years old by production month.

Legally there's a big difference between importing a car and getting it titled and tagged for street use. Few states allow cars with roll cages, non-inertia.reel belts, open exhaust, etc. to be tagged and/or street-driven. Much easier to start with a car with a US VIN and title it in a state with no safety inspection, but beware of the dangers of street-driven cars with roll cages- even well-padded ones put you at risk of TBI in a crash.

Plenty of hpde/dual purpose track cars run full or partial cages, fixed back seats, 6pt harnesses (with stock inertia reel also installed), partially stripped interiors, and rowdy exhausts tagged and annually inspected for street driving.

For "street legal" I meant to say that it is regularly plated and registered in the Italian coutry. For regular road traffic....it is other question. In Italy for vintage cars of over 20 years the police close an eye if used in compliance with road regulations! ;-) I think this is a more collectible car or to run on the track...not to go shopping every day! :)

Depends on where you live, and in any case, even if a car is validly tagged and passes inspection, it may not be legal to actually drive on the street- I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but trust me on this, based on 41 years of practicing/teaching law and many street miles in pure race cars, including 348CH and 355CH. It can be done in some circumstances, but unless you're willing to assume the risk of a denial of insurance coverage in the event of an accident or, much worse, traumatic brain injury when your helmetless head impacts the cage, think long and hard, even if you do circumvent the legal hassles (which are much more complex than you make them out to be) . . .

    I agree!

    GLWS!

Here in Texas they really "don't care" at the 25 year mark.
    You are "vintage"..
