Just sold my 328 and am looking to move into the V-12 arena. Wanted the 599 but as the second Ferrari in the garage, wife is pushing for something with 4 seats (will also consider a 456).

I've been looking at what is out there from the dealers but really want to buy from a private party as I don't have to pay sales tax in NV. Will also consider Dealer consignment cars if it an be done as a private party sale.

Prefer an early (2005 or 2006) 612, mainly for the price point. Love the blue shades (TDF or Pozzy) but will consider any color combination.

No salvage title cars. Will consider one with a minor accident history if priced accordingly.

Cash Buyer with no financing needed. PM me if you have something for consideration.

I tried to send you a PM but your account does not accept them. Can you provide any more information on the car? Condition, color, service history, price?

I don't know what a factory parade car is. In looking at 612's I'm really starting to prefer an HGTS or HGTC equipped but it all comes down to a function of price and condition. I'm seeing several 2005 - 2007 examples for under $100K (or asking prices above but willing to take) through various sources.

Hi Peter, thanks for the reply. I have owned over 45 Ferrari's over the last 35 years and I guess I'm Ferrari crazy. I just got back from the Ferrari factory in Italy and have decided to sell/trade my 612 for a California . My car was the first car produced for the auto shows in 2005. Thus its was labeled The Factory parade car! I have verification from Ferrari of No America to that effect. She was owned by Ferrari from 2005-2009 then sold to a wealthy winery owner in San Luis Obispo, Ca. He had the 15,000 service done in San Francisco. I bought it with 17,000 miles approx. 2 years ago. He had a new clutch and I had her serviced last fall and clutch reading showed 92% remaining! She is Grigio Ingrid (named after the actress Ingrid Bergman) Enzo had a crush on her so her named a color in her honor. Its a rare color (a beautiful champagne, with an exquisite interior.) She has a special exhaust factory installed(wonderful tone) 20,100 approx. miles, never driven in rain or outside of Nashville, Tn. Paddle shifted only with the F1 never in automatic. Yes prices are all over the board on 612's especially NADA 149,000! I'm have a portfolio of 100 pictures being prepared by a professional auto photo car guy. I have asked the dealer I bought it from to send me a history of her(he sold her in 2009 to his client and then sold it to me in 2015). He knows the car intimately and is sending me a provence write up on on her. I will be happy to send you some photo's for your review before the others, please send me your email. Happy Fathers Day. My 328 sold and the funds have cleared so I am ready to buy something and would like to have it in hand by the end of July so I can drive it up to Car Week in August.

Thanks for the PM's on various 612's for sale. I've been looking around and what I am really leaning towards is an HGTS or HGTC in either Grigio Silverstone or one of the Blue shades (TDF or Pozzy) with Datonas in either beige or tan. I'll consider other colors/interiors for the right deal.

I have seen several 2005-2007's out there for under $95K which is really my upper price limit (unless someone is looking to unload an OTO). Others above that price point have been languishing on the market for several months or longer. I ready to make a deal.

I'm not afraid of "higher" mileage examples or those needing a major, provided that they have a good service history and are priced accordingly.

If you are interested in selling your 612 and it fits what I'm looking for, please send me a PM with the details.

Peter, reading your thread I realize that we (likely) spoke at FastCars today - you asked me about my experience with my silverstone 612. If you are lucky, an early model have already had stickies and dash leather done... I re-did both on my 2007 612 earlier this year, so a 2005/2006 has likely failed. If you looked closely at the grigio titanio 612 (lighter gray) parked at the event today, you might have noticed the dash leather pulling at the vents, and at the sun sensor and alarm light. Was nice meeting and talking to you.

Peter - 612's have a ton of parts to refinish and if the trim is the same color as leather (non black), it's really expensive - ask Jes :)

If you need a price list to be educated before you buy, shoot me an email (not PM) please.

Jes, thanks for your insight and the conversation today.

Dave, ill send you an email. And thanks for the wheel tool. I won one at the Stooge event.

On the car search, I'll also consider a nice 456.

Peter, there is a 2007 HGTC in Ojai that has been for sale for quite a while for $97k. If I recall correctly the back story is that there is an accident on the Carfax. I recall another fchatter was interested and the owner was willing to come down quite a bit. Now that it has been for sale for so long you might be able to make a deal. It appears to be well cared for and it is relatively local so you could check it out.

I actually just purchased a Ferrari from Marshall Goldman. Great guys that work there. While I was there I looked at the silver, Argento, 612. It seems like a great deal to me to get into a V12 Ferrari.

I appreciate the tips and leads on cars. At this point I'm really leaning toward one with Ingrid Silverstone or TDF exterior with a tan interior. HGTS or HGTC package. Private party sale prefered.

Thanks Steve. I checked with them and it's sold. One of the few that have actually sold recently. Just goes to show if priced property, the car will sell. If overpriced, they sit.

Hey - I was in your same situation almost. I have a 328 and wanted to add the v12 in blue. From what i understand the HGTE or whatever package is a must have. Day and night diffeecne in terms of ride. These have held value, but are not appreciating unless its s MANUAL which is RARE and big bucks.

I just sold my 328 but still have my 355. There are plenty of 2005 - 2007 612's out there that can be purchased for under $95K (asking price may be more), about half with the HGTS, HGTC or HGT2 packages. Several without the performance package can be found closer to $80K. I'm particular on the color, condition and service history so the search continues.

Peter - curious about your comment about early cars available for close to 80. I've inquired about 2 different cars in the past couple months, both listed around 120, and neither seller seemed all that eager to negotiate. I remember a year or two ago it seemed cars were advertised below 90, but now it's tough to find anything below 110. Not sure if prices have really bounced, or if sellers are overly optimistic. PM if you can share details on specific cars you know that can be sold for around 80. Would love to acquire a 612 in the next month.
