I was trying to find some real-world fuel consumption of FF, but I couldn't find any useful posts mentioning FF consumption.

I hope some FF owners will chime in with precise numbers.

Sincerely ... I stopped bothering with it ... It is so obscene that is better not to track it ....

I`ve noticed that kind of posts all over FF threads, but I am still interested in some real-world consumption facts.

Let's just say if I do only city driving and no highway, a tank will not last me more than 260km.

On the highway, I will get more than 430km per tank.

Thank you Whoopsy for those numbers! That is what I wanted to hear.

Rough estimation would be over 30liters/100km in city, and close to 20 liters/100 on highway.

I'm a weekend driver and generally potter around town with the occasional longer journey outside. Even then I have to fill up every week or two.

    Bad....4liter for 1km city...
If I do long distance in high speed say 180 kmh then I can do about 300 km with full tank.

Wow, 40 liters/100 km! Seems you are pushing your FF really hard in city :D

    lol...ok...maybe better than 4L per 1 km...
I pluged exhaust so less tourque in low rpm range thus poor gas milage and heavy weight of FF is not helping either :)

Highway, cruising between 60mph and 80mph we get 18-20 mpg.
Mixed overall for 40,000 miles, around 13mpg
    Track use : 3-5mpg

Can go almost 400 miles on a tank on the highway if I stay out of the throttle mostly (Have never been able to drive it for any period of time and not run it up to redline in a few gears at least a few times: it just sounds so damn good).

I wonder can Whoopsy and j09333 get anywhere near your consumption Eric :D

Does it count if I do 400miles with 2 tank of gas? :)

This is also my experience. I have measured 19 mpg at a steady 85 mph, which I think is remarkable. Tooling around the city gives around 10 or less.

I was interested in comparing mpgs of my old BMW X5M (modded to 630 hp) -- thereby comparing a very heavy (5300 lb) crossover having the aerodynamics of a brick with a relatively small (4.4 L) TT engine against the much lighter (4000 lb) and better aero FF but with a much bigger displacement (6.3L). Answer: The FF wins by about 10% at 85 mph. So lighter weight and better aero can trump TT engines in fuel economy.

Seems that Whoopsy and j09333 are pretty rough with FF`s gas pedal :D

From Eric, Noblesse Oblige and Mn-0127 report it seems that FF`s consumption is quite reasonable in hands of regular drivers considering its quite heavy car with monstrous V12 NA engine.

My last Tank I went 312 km on 88 liters. 28l/100. That is pretty average for me w normal driving in the local area. My max speed was only 245kmh though.

Unfortunately that has only been taking 2-2.5 days to burn through that tank...

On our last trip to Garmisch we traveled at night and I got 260km out of the tank on the autobahn. I was cruising at 260kmh +\- with a top speed at 300 the tank lasted about 1 hour and 20 minutes from fuel stop to fuel stop.

All these figures are w below freezing weather. I do expect slightly better economy in warmer temps.

The FF is never about fuel economy, it's actually worst than my G63 and that car is pretty bad. Surprisingly, the F12 do quite a bit better than both. All were born to drink petrol like I drink beer.

If I want to go for fuel economy I would have taken the 918 everyday.

I don't do much highway driving, but when I do I get about 19 miles per gallon. In every day city driving I get about 10 miles per gallon. I've stopped tracking it - it's one of the costs of the car, and is worth it.

Both of my FF's were around these numbers. The weather hear has finally broken with most of the salt gone so my last tank was 10 MPG :D. I saw almost 21 mpg for a tank once but it was NO FUN at all :).

Haha yes, I can get pass 300km per tank in city driving, same condition as in the FF. Not always, but I get maybe 280km-310km in that range.

I don't cheat and only drive half a tank and extrapolate either, I always drive till the car tells me low fuel.

2014 FF, Toledo to Indianapolis and back about 3 hours each way, pretty steady on expressway most of the way, a bit of wind, 17.3 mpg, lower than I thought I'd get.

1/3 of the trip was at 70 mph in Ohio RT 24, Ohio Highway Patrol is , always all over that road. 2/3 was in Indiana. They have a 70 mph speed limit so doing about 77 mph most of that time, always using cruise control. Indiana has unmarked police all over the place but they seem to leave me alone at 77. Trip one way is 3 hours. I did jump on it a few times but not many. It was quite windy, steady 18 mph, which helps when travelling with it but is much worse when going against it so with zero wind conditions it would be a bit better.

Worst problem with Indiana is DAMN potholes. They have entire lane wide potholes you must watch for. I thought Michigan roads were bad but Indiana are far worse. In one area, three bridges in a row, the soft material about 2 inches wide that separates the road from the bridge, the material was totally gone the entire width of the bridge. Indiana officials should be quite ashamed.

To be honest, I expected higher consumption at speeds you reported.
