The question is , Is this car an official Ferrari car ? or it branded as a "Touring" ?

I ask because it sports the Touring emblem and no cavallino can be seen...

I think its nice, but I like the regular F12 better. And I would take the real Lusso over both! :)

Looks like it doesn't have the official stamp of approval.

if it had, there would be at least a dozen visible horsey logos on it. so I'm kind of glad it isn't "official".

I'm more than "kinda" glad that Touring is still around building cars but not at all glad that Ferrari has become so overly protective.

From what I see here (I haven't read my current issue of Octane yet) this looks much more elegant than the series F12. I also am glad to see Touring still in business. The Touring Superleggera badge is legendary.

Superleggera referred to a specific style of body building. Not much chance that this car incorporates it. Their badge to use as they see fit I guess.

I was surprised to discover that Touring has several projects/product lines going right now (this, the Alfa Disco, a Bentley Shooting Brake, etc). that was nice to see :)

Yep, I'm aware of that. They used it on the description stationery....not sure why, because I agree, it would be virtually impossible to use the Superleggera technique on this car. Sure is gorgeous.....

    Yup it is.

I don't know if it could be made crashworthy but the one modern car that you could put a Suoerleggera body on is a Tesla.

If its like the Alfa Disco Volante they did it is recognized by the factory. They gave the customer the option of which badging they wanted to display on the car. For this show case it makes sense to place the name of the coach builder to let people know it is not a factory body.

A customer for the Alfa posted the whole build process for his Disco on this forum and WOW... these car builds are special to say the least. Attention to detail and customization options are second to none.

Touring asked permission from Alfa to put the Alfa badge on the Disco Volante but did not receive their cooperation at first. Only after Touring put it on display at I believe Villa d'este Alfa allowed Touring to use the Alfa badge.

So I'm pretty sure Touring did not receive or asked permission to put a Ferrari badge on this.

Touring has been taken over a number of years ago by a Dutchmen called Paul Koot (he was also the man behind the Lancia Hyena project) to continue what it did so well in the past; coach building and judging their stand on the Techno Classica; restoration as well.

They were also present on the Techno Classica with a number of cars, bad picture but o.a. they had this rather nice Maserati A6G54 (I believe the man in the background with the grey hair and glasses just above the black roofline of the Maserati is Mr.P.Koot himself).
