For those considering what must be the ultimate Factory collection, steeped in history, I thought it might be helpful to post the story as a separate thread, given time over the next few days, so that others can easily find the information should they be considering this option, as I only learnt about it as a possibility relatively recently. Also, it stops hijacking the tdf photo thread.

I only returned late last night having lost my ipad in my excitement and what with work, unfortunately a broken camera, collating the images I do have, it will take me a few days to put it all together so I will post the story as I can. In short, for any true Ferrari enthusiast, a really wonderful experience and hopefully this recounting may encourage others to follow suit.

It starts at a quiet, security ridden Fiorano on Wednesday night as it turns out Macchione is visiting, disappointingly not to oversee my hand over, his Sikorsky sitting silently on the pad next to Casa Ferrari and a substantial security detail preparing to put the area in lockdown.

The blacked out top floor of the house is the F1 drivers apartment and not included.

You are welcome. I doubt that many people get to experience this so hopefully some of my experience and enthusiasm will be spread.

Tim can you share what is involved in the process of setting up this special collection? I assume it was all set up through your dealer, but could you comment on any type of special things having to be done in order to arrange this? Also, was this at no cost to you? Thanks.

Every centilla of space except the very top attic floor, the drivers suite which was locked very tight. I spent the night in the first floor suite.

    MERCY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    INCREDIBLE scarcely does this justice!

Well done! I cannot wait to see the pictures of the Blu Traveller car on F-Chat!

My heart rate jumped when I saw this thread. That one shot of Casa Ferrari in the back, if it were higher resolution, that would make for a really wonderful computer desktop background....

Yes. Ferrari Tribute to the Mille Miglia on the cover and Ferrari Corso Pilota on Ice.

Wonderful experience! I covered it in Issue #2. They let me see the drivers suite on the top floor and other than exercise equipment, it was about identical to the lower floor.

Not easy to arrange, although it should be as Ferrari do offer it. It's not as though I was granted a special privilege. Apparently it is only used maybe one day a month at most.

My dealer arranged it at my request as I knew of Enzo's office and wanted to sign my TDF papers at his desk, and it just grew from there. Was this at no cost? Are you insane, this is Ferrari you are talking about! Oh boy, yes there's a cost.......

Will any of this excitement be featured in TOFM (the Official Ferrari magazine) or is Fchat the only venue to be graced with your wonderful Ferrari adventures?
