I had my heart set on R 70th Anni but as its listed as a triple layer and knowing what they cost its going to hurt BADLY ($40k+ here - in car tax hell).

I want my 812 in red (after seeing an RC TDF in the flesh I was super impressed) no other colour.

So as a person who maybe keeps non "special" cars no more than 2-3 years am I making too much of a compromise. Will the 812 be able to "wear" RC better than the F12 did?

It's listed at same price as an historic colour not triple layer.

I saw a RC 812 on Wednesday, have to say, it looked fantastic, though of course these things are very personal.

Thats interesting as I was on the dealers configurator and he had to click the triple layer for us to see it.

IMO $40,000 for paint is way over-priced.

    7-15 is more like it!

I think it would look great in Rosso Fiorano...but that is pricey!

IMHO, if you are going to keep the car 2-3 years, which in my mind is shorter term, and you will then replace it with something else, then I would not go too crazy with options. If you truly believe you will keep the car for a longer time, then I say life is short and get it just how you want it. I tend to fall into the latter camp...

As far as the exact price question, on the USA configurator the 70th Annie red is listed under special colors (along with triple yellow, fuji white and Opaco) and not under historic colors.

My sales told me it is a triple-layer special paint, although he can't confirm the exact pricing yet.

My dealer confirmed today that the Anni Red is priced as a triple layer. I'm getting it anyway.

MHH, I will now just have to make do with RC :( - Damn !!!

Dealer said I would get back $0 on the paint on trade so why bother

The dealer is telling you what you want to hear. The premium for a special colour mightn't be much but it's more than zero.
