Who has alignment specs they can post for a 2013 FF? Mine is lowered and there is a way to adjust the camber on it even though the dealer says there isn't

I would think the dealership should have the alignment specs.

If you are out of LA call Lucent Motors. He won't tell me his specs, but he's a total genius highly recommended by Fchat and by me, and you can maybe pay him a little for his numbers?

If your tech is not up on the car then don't use them. It's an art form, not a by the book gig IMO.

Brian thanks. So even though I am based in Australia ....I could access the magic numbers for my FF alignment . How could these number be universally accepted ....?

I'm totally confused so some help guys....this is my first Ferrari ...with my 991 TS I have taken it to a local wheel expert and he did an excellent job so what am I missing here? I called Ferrari Brisbane which are located in another city and insisted that they would be the only ones to do a proper job.did not give me any specific reasons. So what am I missing. A local Ferrari wheels specialist in my town claims he's been doing this for years so shouldn't be a problem. Could someone please clarify what all the fuss is about ?
    I will really appreciate it!

Got my alignment done from a local Ferrari guru . What a massive difference. However he has hawked for 36psi all around. I cannot understand the logic. Manukau says 30/29 . Not sure where to go. Any takers ?

Is that for Pirellis? Michelins 35/33 psi

Trust the dude. I've driven the car on track 48/52 hot. There is room to play. Factory settings are not in stone.

    I like 38/35

Perfect timing, as I was about to ask what psi to put in the tires after I see the difference in psi for PSS (35/33) and PZero (30-29).

    1) With factory/oem alignment, is it okay to use 35/33 psi even for the PZero? The tire pressure placard near the b-pillar lists only 35/33.

    2) The manual says to increase the psi for the PSS at higher speed but does not say the same for the PZero. I'm fairly sure the same applies to PZero at high speed, right?

Where do you see the difference mentioned between MPSS and PZero for pressure? I would go with what they tell you. Pirelli often have a stiffer sidewall than Michelin. This might account for some of the difference. If its an official source, and it says to use 30/29 for PZero, I would use that if you have PZero tires. Remember tire pressures are for a cold tire at 65F ambient temp.

It's in the specs section on page 29 of the manual-general section. Ah, the stiffer sidewall on the Pirelli will explain it, but I wonder if the stiffness is enough to not requiring the need to increase psi for speed over 174 mph.

Here is copy and paste from that section:

    Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front 2.40 bar (34.81 psi) Rear 2.30 bar (33.36 psi)

    Pirelli Pzero
Front 2.10 bar (30.46 psi) Rear 2.00 bar (29 psi)

For speeds of over 280 km/h (174 mph), inflate the Michelin Super Sport tyres to a pressure of 2.7 bar (front) and 2.5 bar (rear)

Im not sure about the higher pressure for higher speed. I always thought more speed = hotter tires. BUT, I noticed in the new Bugatti Chiron reviews, you need to increase air pressure for higher speed runs, and the car will alert you if the pressure drops too far. This is due to the air actually cooling the tires! I wonder if that is possible here as well?

From what I had heard, tire overheating and failing at high speed is mostly due to the rapid and repeated flexion of the sidewall. Increasing the inflation pressure minimizes that flexion. I guess the PZero must have really stiff sidewall to not needing the increased psi.

Ok so I have a problem . Need help please. Took my car for its long tortuous ride up on a hill. It's a 25 kms up hills drive to a mountain top. Remember I Ve had alignment done but not from Ferrari.
My car drive was a total change in Sports mode as opposed to my city dd.
I found it difficult to control my car. It was a mixture of over and more understeer. I had to work relatively hard to keep it dug into the road ,
Now whatever happened to the AWD or the ARM magic. On my display I only saw the LED on the third bar. This was NOT a AWD anything like my 991 TTS or even my partners Audi S3 Quattro. This car was schizophrenic on steroids man. Nothing GT ish here.
I was tired and didn't enjoy. Very disappointed. But I am sure I am missing something . Those wheels are not digging and gripping and my rears are not aligned to the very very heavy weight pull at the front.
Should I be calling the gentleman in LA Brian as recommended.would his recommendations be applicable to Australian road conditions? When I called Ferrari they didn't give me any special suggestions and didn't know whether their alignment will fix anything.
I just know there is something not right .
Guys what would you recommend ?
    Cheers
    Ash

The car is RWD only when you are in 5th gear or higher. Maybe that explains the behavior you had experienced.

Sounds like a bad set up. If you are going to play with the factory setting you had better be sure.

Lucent Motors, tell him you are in AUS and will pay for information. He was recommended on this board and is a true genius of the craft.
