Interior carbon causing 812 delay?

My dealer tells me my build will be delayed if I want all the interior carbon fibre options I've chosen. I can get the driving zone and console bridge but the air vent surrounds will be unavailable on early builds.

Anyone else hearing this?

When I asked about speccing mine, the message was: if you want your car early then keep it simple.

Logistics

So funny imagine how Mini or JLR can produce 10,000s of cars a year with much more spec options and tell you within days when delivery occurs.

There is really no excuse at all other then "we can".

MAC no better my LT came with wrong wheels as had "run out".

No CF Air Vent surrounds is a big issue for most I would imagine.

Indeed! I put pretty much everything in CF in the interiors that if I have to take out the vents it will ruin the whole build!

Thanks for the replies. I don't want a half CF interior, so I'll wait.

When are they telling you the first RHD cars will be built?

Not sure about UK cars but they were hoping to deliver my car in the first week of December. That would mean an October build. Not happening now of course but that's what they told me. Sounds unlikely, I know.

My dealer (UK) has no reason to mislead me eg to manage my own expectations and is hoping for client cars Feb/April 2018 depending on spec.

If I was Enzo's grandson, they would sort the effing carbon fibre air vents and get me my Christmas present on time!

No, I was just getting the first customer car in South Australia.

There are already RHD 812's seen testing outside the factory. So customer cars shouldn't be that far away....?
