Just bought a Bentley Flying Spur, and am looking for a used Breitling to go with it.

Any idea's on watches, styles, prices, etc

I admit, I don't know a whole lot about the brand

Are you specifically looking for a Breitling for Bentley model or any Breitling?

Here is the currently B for B lineup

    Collection - Breitling for Bentley

As far as used B for B, they can pop up anywhere, but recognized secondary market dealers and private owners posting "for sales" on sites like Timezone are probably best.

If you're looking for any used Breitling, then there's a lot to choose from as they've been making watches for a long time. Breitling is most known for the chronographs, but they've added more non-chronos the last few years. Their affiliation has tended to be with aviation more than anything else, so there are a lot of pilot models. Their most "classic" model is probably the Navitimer, which is a slide rule chronograph, for pilot's.

Here is the current Breitling lineup

I saw several Bentley Brietling models at the Torneau shop at the Galleria Dallas store last week. Call and ask for Claire.

Some Bentleys have lost a lot in value since they first came out.

I have a Breitling Colt II Automatic and it really is a great looking and sturdy timepiece. I've bumped it against things and put it through some intense wristwear and overall it still looks pretty good, albeit the scratches and small dents, and it keeps great time. I've aso handled many other Breitling pieces and am always impressed at how good they feel. Breitlings are pretty heavy and solid and to me seem to exude an air of quality and passion for watchmaking.

As for Bentley for Breitling, they are quite expensvie new, but I don't think they have sold as well as Breitling might have anticipated so shop around for great used deals or even large discounts on new ones that shops are having trouble moving. Best of luck in the search!

The b01 is the first 100% in-house designed and manufactured movment. In the past they have bought and modified other movments.
My Evolution is not the b01 and the new Black Pearl Chronomat is the b01. Both keep awesome time +1.5 sec/ day.
The real big item is the COSC certification that all Breitlings have. I believe every watch has this certification and takes over 14days to test.

Be careful of grey market or replicias. Grey markets watches are often Real Breitlings but not sold thru an Authorized Dealer and do not carry the factory warranty. Replicias are plain fake. As another member stated, breitling-source is an excellent forum.

Think of the movement as the engine.
Think of a Ferrari with a big block Chevy as the equivalent of a Breitling with a Valjoux movement.
Would it be as fast as a V-12 ?
More economical, easier to maintain ?
    Probably.
Would it be the same ? 99.9% of the population would not care.
Will it hold its value or be as prized ?

My Ball has a Valjoux and there is nothing wrong with it. If the same watch had a Ball made movement I would love it that much more.

The top top brands all have in house movements.
    The BO1 is Breitlings. (only?)

The other watch that is truly unique to Breitling (ONLY Breitling makes anything like it) is the Emergency series.

I posted this several weeks ago on another thread but I had a dealer tell me the Mission Emergency models are becoming very desirable and collectible.

Breitling Watches are all so nice, it's for pilot design at the beginning; I love this brand, but when buy luxury watches, I will pick a tag heuer!

I've been looking for a used Breitling as well. I'd specifically like to buy a Rose Gold Montbrillant.
