    What is a "scramble serial" on the Rolex? Not a term I've heard before.

    Here's the short answer...
    Scramble or Random serial currently refers to the watch having a manufacture date of 2012 or later.

    The year in which Rolex manufactured their watches are determined by the serial number, it stated with a 5 figure digit in the 1920s. In 1988ish they began with a letter that was followed by 6 digits. In 2012 Rolex made scramble serials that could have a combination of letters and digits in any order....this is a very vague answer

    Shaun, there is a market but it is limited...I am finding that discounts are currently larger than most watch companies but many of their watches carry higher retail numbers .I have had no issues moving them, but that goes for everything when the price is right ;-)

    Cheers Wang! I absolutely love it. :)

    I was going to buy a Daytona until I tried to put one on. :(

    I ended up going with my 3rd choice, a Sea Dweller as the size suits me perfectly.

    When I saw these Deep Sea watches, I just had to have one and I was very fortunate my local dealer started taking deposits for them again.

    Apparently, supply is not meeting demand with that model. They are extremely popular world wide.

    I am still not guaranteed one 100%, but at least I have a deposit down and am at the top of the list.
