I am going to be in Vegas soon so with my fresh new speedy and I need a watch band. I like good bands that are well made. I don't like paying multiple hundred dollars for an Omega band or any kind for that matter. Are there any places that I can visit while I am there or should a penny pincher like me just stick with mail order?

Darth that is not helpful. I do not trust Ebay for a lot of things, including watchbands. I have had good luck with The Watch Prince but as you may know they don't always have the same stuff, at least not for the nicer bands that I use. I have scored some seriously nice bands from there though that a boutique would charge 350-500 for so I was hopeful that LV would be such a place too. I will be at the outlet mall(s) looking but any help is welcome.

I've sold genuine bands on there and have seen many others. YMMV.

Lots of stores carry bands so I'd suggest just bringing the watch and seeing what's there and what fits and looks OK, since you're not after OEM. Outlets may be of some help or maybe Chris at VTC has something you might like?

    He's reputable.

Well thanks Darth, I didn't know you used the place. I do have a stigma about watchbands from ebay. Not sure why, I buy everything else from there!

I will be doing my husbandly duty at the outlet malls too so maybe I will get lucky!

Thanks for the mention of VTC!

FWIW, since you're looking, I put a blue Breitling hornback croco deployant band on my old Schumacher Speedy and it looked epic.

Color key match to your subdials, FTW!

I had been running Breitling style for a few cycles, well at least before it went in the broken watch box! I am a fan and this is what I will be shopping for. Right now I am using a contoured end Hirsch that I had laying around. This is sort of a MacGyver thing as I think it is designed for a different case that can take two pins per side to hold it firm against the case but it kind of works for me. At least until I find my next one!

I like the look of NATO but not the reality of how close I cut my corners in real life! Anything to keep it closer to my skin and away from door jambs is the path forward for this close tolerance stroller! :)

Hey Kevin, try Honolulu Time Co. on Kapiolani/Piikoi in case you want some nice leather NATO straps.

I managed to find Tourneau (sp?) at the forum shops. Terrible selection of bands but a cool store to peruse. I grabbed one of their brand of replacement bands but only out of desperation. Search will continue..

How about Roman Times? I know there's a few watch stores at the Wynn as well…

That is nice of you. Here is where I am going. I am a huge fan of the Di-Modell Chronissimo band for another watch and am going to give it a try on my Speedy. If you haven't tried one of these bands I really recommend them. Longest wear of any non metal band I have ever used. I found a couple on Ebay for 69 bucks! Pictures are from someone else but mine should look the same. ;-)

Funny you posted this thread topic. I killed time during a business trip by walking around the strip wearing my Speedy this summer shopping specifically for interesting bands for it. I didn't find anything at all.

Amazing isn't it? They probably have a hundred million dollars worth of watches there but if you need a band...well, you are in the wrong place Mr.
