I have a PAM, but not a Ferrari branded watch. I love it. I've always liked the Ferrari branded PAMs, but if you're hoping they'll hold their value in anyway, I don't think they will. There isn't anything special about them other than the name and emblem on the dial.

I agree with Mark. I sold my FER00001 on eBay last Christmas. Paid $4,800 for it pre-owned an sold it for about $3,900. Beware of fakes. There are a lot of good ones on the market. The first one I bought turned out to be a very good fake. The seller refunded my money but I was shocked at how good a fake it was.

A lot of the watches that panerai made for Ferrari have depreciated considerably... It's a good time to buy, but as the other posted said, beware of fakes ...

I have a new FER00010 Rattrapante I'd be willing to sell. I feel it is the best mechanical and most beautiful of all the Ferrari watches. The Rattrapante complication is very special. I also think that it is the only Ferrari watch that has a in-house Panerai movement (But please check on that to be sure). I also feel that this is the watch that will appreciate most in value. I am a collector and have had a couple Pam Ferraris. I've even sold one to a FChat member before and he was very pleased. I bought it as an investment, but I want to purchase a Hublot Ferrari so I'm tempted to move this one. It is obviously a complete package.

How does one determine authenticity with a watch like this?

Agreed. Find a reputable dealer and have them look at the movement. Some of the fakes are very close but not quite. To spot them requires a trained eye. Also agree with boxes & papers. Nice to know the provenance too.

My PAM 025 has been sent in twice for service, neither for mainteance though the maintenace was done at the same time. They aren't the most reliable watch.
