    36mm is fine for men, although on the smaller side. However, due to the colors I would say certainly more of a ladies' watch/style.

    I've never heard of a purple dial from Rolex but I know they did some different colors back then. If the dial is aftermarket, I can have this reproduced pretty easily for you.

    The original Datejusts/Day Date were 36mm for men. The DJII brought the larger size watches.

    That purple dial is stunning, as I love purple. However, some old Rolex dials have faded to a purple color. Could this be one of those? I love the pie pan, as well.

    The submariner blue dials had a habit of fading to a purplish color. I am not sure if that blue was available for the 1603 series watches.

    I was at an AD last month and they had a bunch of purple dials. Called grape, the color is a little lighter than the one shown here. I really liked it.
