Posting a quick note. CCR will be racing at Homestead October 16-17 (Thursday-Friday). CCR will be racing both dates with about 40 Challenge cars. It's free to watch. For more information go to Challenge Car Racing.

They also have open track sessions for your street car for a modest fee with both beginner and advanced groups!

I love Turn 1!! Just a little lift, then turn in and full throttle!! :) I was lucky to have spent a number of years racing in TX and running the banking at TWS where T1 is very similar to Homestead T1 and Daytona T1, so I am comfortable at these places. Getting the braking and downshift done for T2 I found challenging though, I need to work on my consistency there. I've done 3 days in my Porsche here, so familiar with the track but still lots to learn.

We will be using the infield, so that also makes much T1 easier. (I have not run the banking there yet). Many of us had issues with blown tires at Daytona so safer to run the infield.

My team confirmed with Yulia we are not. (Though we still use the banked front straight and back straight with the infield configuration.) Who told you something different?

We had 14 blowouts at Daytona in the 430 class and a single blow out in the 355 class (me). I think it would be overly optimistic to expect a different result at Homestead if we ran the banking leading to T1.

DARN! I like the banking as it is much less than Daytona but the infield course is actually better for us 360 guys. Takes the advantage away from the 430's

I forgot the exact schedule but I know there is more action on Thursday. Don't know why but CCR really drops the ball on promo and info. I like to follow them but it's always a chore to find any info or coverage.

If I remember correctly Friday is just on practice and a race where as Thursday has multiple practice session, qualifying and a race.

    I'm headed down thursday.
