No longer at Ferrari of Palm Beach. Where is he? Grazie.
Don't take this as fact, it's a snippet from the annals of my very questionable memory, but I think I remember hearing that he moved over to Lambo Palm Beach.
I just talked to him at Cavallino last month and he was with Ferrari PB then and all was good. Are you sure he's not there anymore?
I hope he's ok and doing well. Perhaps someone here with his cell number could contact him and let us know.
Ferrari of Palm Beach confirmed that Bud no longer there. I didn't see him at Lamborghini but that is not a conformation that he is not there.
Bud Root is a true gentleman and a legend in the Ferrari world! When I started in this business many years ago, there were three guys that you always heard great things about... Bud Root, John Levy and Benn Correale. I am so fortunate to now work with John Levy and Benn Correale! I only wish I would've had an opportunity to work with Bud Root. I can only hope to be as good as these guys someday... I'm sure that Bud Root will be greatly missed at Ferrari of Palm Beach.
1993 ...I walk into Shelton looking for an Fcar ...24 years old ...no one even looks at me , too young I guess...who walks up and helps me ? Bud Root
He is a true gentlemen for sure. I was just in contact with him via Text. He had a 2 month hiatus but is back at Ferrari Palm Beach. He will be there this weekend for their cookout. He is looking forward to seeing everyone!
Yes, Bud is back. He looked very happy, but his friends and customers looked even happier that he is back!
I saw Bud at the last C&C at West Palm I didn't get a chance to find out where he had gone but it's nice to have him back!
Good to hear that Bud is back. Always refreshing when sales rep at competing dealerships speak highly of him. He is a stand up guy and extremely knowledgable.
I wish they had more like Bud. I met him in Lauderdale at Shelton and he was just a joy to be around. He gave me a guided tour and showed me what was going on. I was just a pup then but I was really interested. A class act.
For those that asked.......finally out in public....... Report: Ferrari has device to roll back odometers to 0 | Techtly.com Ferrari uses device to roll back mileage, salesman accuses | Daily Mail Online
Also being discussed here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferrari-discussion-not-model-specific/546303-odometer-rollback-scandal.html
This software exist because of the factory testing and putting miles on the vehicle before leaving the manufacturer ?
I've always heard of this software in the context of replacing an odometer or instrument panel and being able to reset the correct mileage, but obviously it can be used for other purposes
Unless Mr Root has some hard evidence for his claims this isn't going to end well for him. His lawyer is accusing Ferrari of tampering with odo's as a routine matter. There is no way Ferrari is going to stand for that without a counter suit.
One can hope so anyway. For those that have been living in a cave, it has never not been possible to change an odometer, I have done it myself. It is legally required in many cases and has been fraudulently done since the sale of the first second hand car. This is not news. It is a pulp rag like story whipped up for a big payday with a very wet behind the ears "Journalist" being an unwitting accomplice.
