I've read previous threads about cleaning a Ferrari and was wondering what thoughts are about cleaning a 360 Modena. To use water or not to use water? That is the question. I'm curious to hear why or why not. Car is kept in garage under a cover in Florida.

Also thoughts on ceramic paint correction (I have Rosso).

Looking forward to your responses and thoughts. Thanks.

    It's a car...use water!
Ceramic coating is great paint protection, but not a replacement for protective film in front.

Just don't wash it in the sunlight- water spots are a pain to get out...I do sometimes have to wash in the sun if the whole car isn't in the shade, but I rush to get the water off ASAP!

With my ferrari (i.e. garaged non-primary car driven only in nice weather), I notice often I can use a detailer spray if the car just has a light dusting on it and use a wet sponge to clean the wheels to make it look fresh and clean vs. a full wash...probably do that 2-3 times between actual water car washes, over the course of 2-3 months.

Some posts advocate not using water at all and doing only clay bar/wax and detoaler in between. And we are okay on water. But it is hard water being in florida.

I use deionized water when washing the car to avoid rust and water spots.

With all due respect it's a car, it won't melt.

I was in charge of a multi million dollar collection and in the 13 years I was there every car was washed in the shade with good old florida tap water. Didn't seem to stop them from winning at Pebble Beach and Cavallino. It certainly didn't harm th finish. They were also, gasp, driven regularly as they should be.

Drive your car, wash and enjoy it!

Definitely wash it with water. Ferrari ran it through an automatic car wash before they shipped it to you.

I like washing my cars with the two bucket method and with microfiber wash mitt and towels...waterless seems overkill.

This. You won't need to dry car after wash. Get one from costco. Wish I had bought one a long time ago.
