Is there any car you've owned that you feel you'll never sell ?
Having two cars (both "regular") to upkeep by myself is a PITA. Downsizing to one would be nice and with newer and cooler cars coming every 5 or so years, it's hard to want to hold onto one forever. I only plan on keeping one car forever. My first sports car...it will be 11 years old this upcoming Tuesday. 51,000 happy (s)miles.
I have a 1967 Pontiac GTO that I won't sell until I am no longer able to drive. I'd like to keep my 328 that long, too, but I'm not nearly attached to it as I am to my GTO. I have 3 other "regular" cars that I like but don't plan to keep. But you never know.
I have a 1965 Corvette convertible that I've owned for more than 15 years so far. It is a blast to drive and it keeps me from wanting to buy other more expensive vintage cars. So, not likely I'll ever sell it. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful 'vette! Here's my GTO, I've owned it a little longer than 9 years so far. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My BMW Z8 and my Ford GT, because I love them. For a different reason, my Fisker Tramonto because it is No. 1. Joe
2010 Lotus Exige. I could inherit 500 million tomorrow and it'd still be in my garage. In fact, I might buy a couple more for the track.
That is a beauty! Set up just right IMO. I like the Cragar style mag wheels - that fits that era of car perfectly. .
The most I have ever owned at one time, with tags and insurance is eleven (11). Some stay longer than others, but in the end I get bored and want the room and the cash flow. If i had a family and wife / kid memories i could see the attachment. But I do not, so they are just cars. neat thread topic.
Boxer, E46 M3 and Elise. Cant think of any moderns that from a driving perpective are a replacement. Plus once you get a car sorted its never worth changing. If Io only could ever have one, it would be the Elise hands down no question.
Wow, great stuff and really nice pics. Perhaps you guys can explain the reasons... is it because of it's looks? handling? sentimental value? just feeling connected to the car when driving ....
