    Do you have access to the feature where you can run a plate and get the VIN?

    I can't do that unfortunately. What I can say though, is that I found a way to do that several years ago by some pretty intensive google searching. I can't remember what the website was for the life of me. Sorry.

    Thanks. There was/is a website that does free Autochecks, but not by plate when I asked. Ugh...hope the guy never changes the plate on the car. Would be impossible to locate.

    Hmm... Carfax doesn't like the VIN number. Says it's unavailable.

    Yeah, I think so. I figured they would. Very strange. I tried to pull a Ducati VIN off ebay for fun and it didn't run either.
