    Nicely done video.

Amazing how close the quarter mile was given the 200+ bhp advantage of the Corvette.

That's a lot of the reason that they are as close as they are.

And the sources I saw show the Corvette just a hair under 3,200 lbs, not 3,000 lbs.

    Great video. Thanks.

Would love to see the same comparo with the 160 hp motor for the P car, instead of the 130 it had. Chevy still walks it 0-60 (427 is a torque monster), but the 1/4 should get pretty close......

    Regards,

    I doubt that a 68 911 Targa will turn a quarter in 14.6, especially with an 8.8 0-60.
Road tests have the mighty 911S only turning times in that range or slower in some cases.
    (68 911S, 0-60 8.1, 1/4 14.6, 68S 1/4 15.1, 69S 15.8, 72S 14.4,etc.

I own(and have owned multiple examples of both) both a 67 911S and a number of C2 and C3 Corvettes. The Corvettes are much quicker than the little 911s in acceleration.
