Beautiful car!...reminiscent of a Bugatti or this streamlined 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom I. What are the specs on the engine, suspension, brakes, etc.?

I like Franklins too. Here is a photo of my 1919 Touring. I can't remember the last time I had this one out. I walled in this part of my garage when I added on to the garage over a decade ago, so it's now impossible to get this car out anymore. Although I like modern cars, most of my cars are Pre War 2.

I agree. What a great band...with two great guitar players. I still blast them in my car...One of my kids is at U of M in Ann Arbor. We plan to make a pilgrimage to their Ann Arbor house on my next visit. (the MC5 were hiding out from the FBI)...

Tyner (Vocalist) died of a heart attack in late 1991 at the age of 46. Sonic Smith (Guitar) also died of a heart attack, in 1994 at the age of 45. Davis (bassist) died of liver failure in February 2012 at the age of 68. That leaves guitarist Wayne Kramer & drummer Dennis Thompson. Both alive & active.

PB Sprt Rdstr w/some "late model" running gear upgrades ('52 276" Hemi, '52 3-spd, '51 3.54 final drive, etc...). Hot rodded in early '50's (though, w/flat head V8 Ford ???). Discovered (in upstate N.Y.) as literal "basket case" and "rebuilt/recommissioned" w/aforementioned upgrades 25+ years ago. Enjoyed 3-5K annually. Pictured at Big Sur during 900+ mile round-trip to Monterey in 08/'14. Probably purest driving pleasure of all cars I own, have owned or driven in 35+ years.

    Which ? L-29, 810 or 812 ?
I had a '30 L-29 Sedan in the shop about a year ago for some "heavy steering" issues which client initially wanted me to cure by adding some kind of power assist system.
Turned into a major project, including having to have new worm gear, steering shaft and sector gear roller, etc made.
I was shocked to find out their absolutely scary condition AFTER I had test driven the car at 40-50 mph speeds and decided to remove and take a look inside the gear box.
Some one had previously made some horrifying attempts at repairs on all internals which had been subject of catastrophic failure. Such repairs would not have been appropriate for abandoned used wheelbarrow. Client was rather surprised too, since he's been custodian for past 40+ years of this family heirloom from his wives side (been in the family since 1940's, IIRC).
    Interesting FWD engineering, though.
