The Charlotte (NC) C&C was temporarily suspended due to some moron in a Mustang also crashing upon exiting.

They restarted shortly after, with police presence and implementing new policies on driver behavior.

    Afterwards, all is well.

I am part of a group of guys that runs the monthly Motorsports Gathering in Scottsdale and we constantly are having to police the nit wits that feel an obligation to race when leaving our event. We have befriended the police and have them attend to reduce the moron factor.

Our event centers around exotics. The trouble usually comes from the domestics that seem to have something to prove.

From ace to idiot in ten secs.

Bad car and certainly bad driver or both. Lucky nobody was coming the other way.

The one I attend always has someone at least making a spirited exit not necessarily tire burning though. Last time, New Years day, there were two or three cop cars there so I have a feeling it's a way of dealing with this. If you have to have cops in a smaller community it may be an indicator that you're days are numbered? That's money ...

Not sure where you get the bad car part... The M4 is an incredibly capable car. Certainly a bad driver.

I like how the comments have been disabled on the YouTube clip.

Too bad for the car, you know, being stuck with an incompetent driver and all that. Thank god it wasn't raining, otherwise he'd have another lame excuse to go along with his tire PSI argument...

Is it only me or the wheels are incredibly small in teh M4 ? I mean, look at how wide that rubber is. That is certainly not a 20' wheel. This might have reduced the grip.

Correct me if I am wrong (Which I am almost never)

It's amazing how many people can't do simple car control. Look at his front tires, if had performed a rapid counter steer nothing would have happened.

Pretty easy to do with high power cars and cold tires. I had the rear end break free on my 430 leaving my driveway turning left from a dead stop with cold tires on a fall day. Only came around maybe 15 or 20 degrees but it came around non the less. Saved it easily but I'm sure I looked like a fool.
Dont forget the Indy 500 in 92 where Guerrero crashed from the pole position on a parade lap.
Looks foolish but a snap spin with cold tires is tough to recover from
Guy still looked like a fool. Accelerating hard with little room to recover will bite you

as the driver said...definitely mechanical failure, no doubt about it, plenty of video and empirical evidence... the nut behind the wheel failed

And don't forget bald tires too.

Even a few hard burnouts, which I'm sure this guy has done with this car , cold tires and BINGO.

    Damage !

He is beyond lucky there was no oncoming traffic.

Wonder how he will explain that one on the way back to the leasing company in 30 months.
