as at the Ny show tonight. The Mcalren stand had mega traffic. The new 570's is a resolved design. Whereas the front of a mp12 or 650 can look bulbous, and the rear a little heavy, this car 570s is compact and a coherant design. Think of it as P1 light, its tight with lots of great detail. If a 308 was a seminal car for ferrai then the 570 is the same for mclaren.

Acording to the Uk Mclaren rep, its 180k fairly loded, options are stereo and whels, lots of what you see on the show stand is standard. the idea being thsat you order a car and its complete.

Other notables, the alfa 4c spyder. Although the 15yo said it looked like an "elise with italian flourish"

The new miata was awesome, felt like a mix between a lotus and a 308 the cockpit was tight and purpseful in avery lotus like way, doors felt cheap car.

Over at ford the had the new Gt, the 15 year old saw it as his favorite, to me at some angles and from the rear it looked a but ugly, others stunning, really long like a modernd xj 220.

The ford reps clained the Gt350R now has an offocial nurbering lap time of 7.32 on stock tires. they attribute much to the Cf wheels which save 35 lbs. Apprently these wheels cost 15K on their own, but will come with the car.

The challenegr Hellcat, its still really cool, if you are not going to the track, this is the car to have, you just know its going to be an icon and the new inetrior is great.

The last words forn the 15 yo, all the other cars at the show, they are appliances, you choose one washer dryer over another based on color and the shiney knobs.

I liked the new Xc90 a major step up and the screen really worked like an iphone instead of a pain. Cadillac well the Ct6 is bigger and the ats V is cool. The competition, well BMW these days, how badly can we melt a bar of saop for design and turbo it. cadillac may have a ways to go, but its competion is falling fast.

Loved the show. Best in long time. ford gt was the star without doubt. what an amazing car. cannot believe it is even real, esp when viewed from the rear. mustang Shelby was a little disappointing to look at. maybe the flat crank motor will make up for that. can just tell it is built to a price.

was surprised Porsche left out the gt3rs and cayman gt4 but this boxster spyder was a star. sooo nice. and the top is now full coverage vs the old spyders partial doohickey. 375 hp, stick, tightened suspension should make great comparisons to alfa. $85k I think

    More.

this aston v12 is supposed to be their track star and seems good for $180 until find out still going with single clutch paddles. no thanks, I will wait for the mb connection to come through with modern components. the track special Vulcan was pretty amazing though. $2m!

loved the look of the targa. so solid and great sporty luxury gt car.

new macca is awesome. $185 base price. looks so much better than the 650lt and 650s that were there too. why would anyone pick the older cars for an extra $100k?

nsx is now in final form and very impressive. how could anyone hate on this car when its as nice as macca, r8, etc? guaranteed average driver would be so much faster in this thing with individual wheel awd than in the rwd macca. this is like the gtr was in 07. told me that does not run solely on electric power though and cannot charge in wall so not quite like 918 but maybe that info was wrong

some old school. great alfa and the amazing 1 of 3 McLaren f1 long tails! had a very luxurious tan leather interior too. priceless for sure.

not so impressed with modern day mb gts. interesting that its same price as the s class coupe. they said one for lux and one for sport

have a better picture of the aston Vulcan but cant get it to load. well keep trying since this was wildest car in the show. $2m! take that laf xxxk
