Does the SL65 have a dct? The specs say the SL63 does.

    Do these have adaptive spoilers?

You have to get SL65 to get carbon fiber interior trim?

Any options that are must haves?

    Thanks

If you mean the transmission, SL63 has wet multi plate clutch, not very smooth, a lot of people complaining about "jerkiness" when shifting (I like it anyway).
SL65 has a regular 7 speed slushbox with torque converter, modified by AMG for quicker shifts then S600 with similar tranny.
    No adaptive spoilers in either.
CF trim is optional in both.
Personally for me, CCBs are a must as both cars are still heavy, I drive hard and regular steel brakes end up warped in all my cars within 6-7k miles.
Don't waste $$ on Burmester sound system, standard is perfectly fine (SL63 only as SL65 comes with it anyway)

Agreed, SLS depreciation is more stable as well. SL AMGs will be a little more understated if that is what you are going for.

The configurator was vague to say the least. Really looking for a DCT.

My understanding after reading through a couple of Car and Driver reviews is that both the SL63 and SL65 have seven speed automatic transmissions, but the torque converters are different.

I can't answer the technical questions but my DD is an SL 63 and I have the carbon fiber interior. Awesome car. Pm me if I can be of any help. I just replaced my 13 with a 15 and got 10k off the sticker fwiw. Also the 13 had an option for a performance package that now comes with the 15. Don't buy the upgraded stereo it blows.
