Since I know a lot of members here are like me, sharpened their teeth (skills) on MKI MR2's and went on to own Miata's I thought a discussion concerning a potential project engine would be a fun discussion. Both engines have super strong iron blocks and forged cranks so in reality they are both almost bullet proof and are both "non-interference" engines. Having owned both I miss the street legal "kart" feel of the MKI MR2 and was thinking about searching for a good condition block and crankshaft. I have a engine stand and over time can "build a turbocharged monster" of an engine and then proceed from there.

    Thoughts, opinions?

K-20 Honda, way better engine. But if there is itch to scratch...
Both are good engines, but 4AGE and it's history with Ford BDA strikes harder.
With BP-4W, google sturovo for turbo parts or Artech that I guess you all ready know.
