My star of show Would be good if could occasionally remove wing for street Also had a great viper racing sim. Sit inside a full size viper on motion mounts with 3 screen Nurburgring. Lots of fun Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Would be better if you could occasionally put the wing on. Off 99 percent of the time would be good. I'ts awful. Like it a lot in white.
New gtr looked good but needed improved tires, brakes, cooling which was ignored. Actual nring 7.08 record car was cool to sit in but issue is its totally different from actual nismo they sell Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ford gt is ultimate looking car bar none. I would want it just to look at. Disappointed in feel of focus rs shifter. Rubbery Shelby shifter was great though. Unfortunately both cars had bad pedal position for my feet to heel toe Image Unavailable, Please Login
Didn't like new r8 at all. Too much like an old Porsche 356 bathtub. Too similar to audi tt also Way preferred nsx looks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This Hyundai concept was gorgeous if they ever make it Regular genesis had audi a8 quality.interior. koreans can do luxury Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats it for pix but other cars of note Alfa guilia was nice.but why pick it over m4? The m4gts ridiculous at twice price regular m4. Gt3 Porsche for that $ for sure Maser levante was disaster. Soo ugly. Sad for them. Jaguar suv was very nice looking though. Range rover cab very cool. Ultimate hamptons beach car but not available till fall! Stupid
I'll be heading down Wednesday, it's an all day trip for me, 4 hours each way, and four hours at the show, but worth it, especially when we hit White Castle on the way home !!
My daughter and I went on the Thursday PM preview night. A few reactions Ford GT in person is astonishing. Can only hope somehow they can make the exhaust soundtrack better in the street car (the GTE-spec race car sounds...ugh). Focus RS was a car I wanted to see after all the hype. I guess it must drive better than it presents itself, was underwhelmed by the tactile feel inside the car. It felt like....a Focus. The 2 Giulia QV's were nice to see in the flesh. The front end looks different in person than in photos, it's very flat. Also clear all the Alfa's are far from production, if you looked close it was clear these cars were collections of parts. Range Rover Evoque Cabrio - well, let's just say a Cali T has more rear leg room. However, I'd give Land Rover an "A" for audacity to try this. They are going to miss the summer window, however I'm going to guess most of these will end up somewhere other than the NE USA. Viper ACR with Comp Package was nice. Shame this is the end of the line for this car. They seem to have finally nailed it with the last generation. Porsche 911R - very cool they had it there for people to actually sit in. While I'm sure the chassis/engine/manual box are the pull, seems like they went overly retro with the design features, and the "it's so limited, this is the only chance you'll have to even see one" allocation BS. Seems like most of the people on the Porsche stand were grumbling more about the fact that they could not get one, vs. how much they liked it. All the GM stuff was just depressing, other than Corvette. BMW seems to continue their quest to move away from the Ultimate Driving Machine. The M4 GTS looked a bit hacked together. M-B was a mix of your grandparents cars, but AMG seems to have put a bit of edge back into their next cars. OTOH, it was clear they are marketing the V12 G-Wagen as a pure celebrity car. Waiting for the "Kanye and Kim Edition".. VW's stand was missing a Golf R. They had a GTI, which I had not looked at in a while. If they could but the details and tactile feel (austere though it is) into a Focus RS, would be a fun car. Maserati and Bentley SUV's....uh, not for us. Cayenne, Range Rovers, X5's (even the MDX) look better. Levante was more like an over-inflated Ghibli.
felt the 911r was a disappointment. im sure 500 na hp and a 6 speed stick will be fun to drive but it didnt have much presence aside from the ugly stripes. and they felt raised to the touch making me wonder if its just a sticker. that would be weak for a $200k plus car that takes an extra $100k to buy. the interior houndstooth was cool though. would rather a gt3 or rs even with the pdk
The Fiesta ST's interior is worse. Yet, more automotive journalists have bought a Fiesta ST than any other car.
