Mercedes W140 V-12 coupes

This probably belongs on Rennsport or an MB forum, but has anyone here had significant experience with one of these cars? They're now so incredibly cheap that I've started to take notice. The looks are appealing in a purposeful sort of way, build quality is superb, and straight line performance seems to be about 9/10ths that of a 456 from the same period. I've seen excellent examples with less than 100k miles, service history, etc. for the price of a 5 year old Toyota.
