Last saturday 22th Augutst we had the last this summers Sportscar Breakfast Club meeting at Sipoo, Finland. The perfect weather quaranted the great cars. Like Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, two Ferrari 308 GTB's, one Aston Martin, two TVR's.....but.

For me, first time to see closely Lamborghini Jarama 400GT with my own eyes, it was basically much much more important thing than hoping to see Diablo there. The Jarama was absolutely fantastic. The Real GT!
Even that I made "slight mistake" and went to ask the owner was this V8 or V12 engined.... God I'm still embarassed about that. I new it would be V12, but some reason I went just confused that moment..... Some reason of that was maybe to reliaze that I will see the Lamborghini V12, again. Such a great Great engine!

Anyway, here is coupe of images. I believe this is an only one at Finland. Someone who know, can correct this if it's not.
Hope you like the images, the rest of them can be found here:

Just gotta love the old cars. Just don't be in any hurry to get anything done. For instance try taking that air conditioning compressor off.

    I have a 1978 Countach and a 1972 Urraco.....there is something special about driving a 70's Lamborghini.
    Everyone should try one.

    old lambos rock!

still the color does not suit the car imo....i like the darck jaramas (black and darck blue really make the car looks menacing and perfect)

p.s..... it smokes too much imo

Yes, it is only one in Fnland.

And, no this car does not smoke that much.

owner constatly refers that these cars are amazing for durability, just keeps going, no need for repairs! And he is right, if it ain't broken, just keep those happy kilometers coming.

Yep, so I also heard longside that beatifull V12. It basically was stunning moment. Again.

    Anyway...some book I've read about these Lamborghini's V12 early 70's...
"...may require regular attention to keep it in the highest state of tune, but there has never been any question of its reliability and strenght. ".

The color looks very original. verde rio metallizzato. Phantastic, like the LP400 1120012.

S A and mikael82: do you know whether this still is the original paint or whether the car had been repainted?.

it is repainted last sommer, with same color.

Last year I told owner; "you know you should replace those tyres... you can't drive along with tyres made in 70`s"

If I remember right tyres where from year 1977, now with new ones and owner says "It is like a new car!" :D

    btw. in followin picture:
Air filter cover is not rusted, it is what is left from yellow paint that cover where painted over original white, owner gently removed yellow paint to find original under it.

OK great to know it is an orginal color and the car has been kept an orginal shape. I thought and hoped it would be, fortuntely it is!

But about the manufacture year; I read the old Lamborghini Registery website, that this car is from 1973, but Jarama registery site is mention that it has been delivered 1971.
What is the correct manufacture year for this car?!

And since the car came in to Finland; it seems that it has been particulary good shape? Low kilometres and well serviced car?

Random reader might think; What is so splecial in this car?

Car is not "special" in terms of rare or valuable, don't get me wrong, Jarama is rare car.

Special is where this car is, Finland. "A tax paradice" and total numbers of Lamborghinis in Finland is under 20.
It was until 1988 it was illegal to own taxfree car in here and some cars like Jarama cartax would easily be like 1.5 time of value your house!
There are old cars like Jarama in here but they are still kept behind closed doors and are unspoken. Even neighbour would not know what guy nextdoor has in hes carage. Some old geezer are still afraid to unveil their tresure.

Yep, 177 ever made, so it's defenitely rare car where ever you see one. Great Great car. Like Islero also, realy beatifull. There is none at Finland those ones?
And what I really respect, is that these cars have been kept an orginal shape. The history of the car has been respected. Now and in the future.

But only 20 Lamborghini's at Finland, with Finland register plates? Sounds incredible, some say that we have allmoust 150 Ferraris.

I am highly interested in the code or mixture of the colour as I saw the only "verde rio" painted LP400 in Paris four years ago and I am still excited about the colour. Do you have contact to the owner of Jarama#10110?

Jarama is a great car. I own the factory brochure Jarama #10006. This car has a great livery (rosso/senape). But if it was not the factory brochure car, the car would be repainted in verde rio.
