If so, are they original, vinyl, cloisonné, or what? Which if any 308s or 328s come from factory w/ them? Are they inset? I’m thinking of getting them on mine just to scream “Ferrari” so no one mistakes it for a Firebird or Corvette. Yeah, I know… I could get a giant prancing horse in gold on my hood.

No 3x8 or Mondial came with the fender shields. They didn't show up on road cars until the 355.

The shields were on my 308 when I bought it from the PO. They are really nice cloisonne ones, very high quality. I'd be happier if they weren't there, but there they stay, for now. (p.s. I actually think they look pretty nice, but not really original)

No shields on ours; we don't need reconfirmation of what brand it is.

Mine had (thick) vinyl ones when I bought it earlier this year. Took them off immediately, not because they looked 'bad', just prefer the badgeless look.

Put one of them in a model case I put together for a friend, and the other is sitting on my shelf waiting to be stuck to something else (maybe the back of my winter beater Jeep hmmmm....)

Bullfighter's right. I've had people ask if my Mondial is a Mustang, because it has a horse on it. If you're not certain you want the shields, all they'll do is make you wonder if you did the right thing putting them on every time you see them. If you're certain you like them, then go for it.

...weez needz the badges, most def.

(seriously, it doesn't matter; it's just a personal choice, unless, of course, your car was actually part of "The Team")

I do have them in vinyl on my 77 GTB, came on there when I bought the car. I think they look terrific, even though I know the arguments against them. My car is red, and the shield looks best against red cars, I think....

I've had them on, and had them off. Currently have a new set of badges on the bench next to the car but can't make up my mind as to put them back on or not :)

Gonna wait for my new set of wheels to get done before I decide.

The people who may mistake your car for a Corvette or Firebird are not worth caring about what they think it is, or educating.

Mine has got them. Been there a long time from PO. Thinking I might take them off. I'm thinking there are too many logos on the car. Count then once. This has also got me looking at my garage. I counted 26 shields on Ferrari things sitting around and on the walls....

I have to admit I think it looks pretty good on a black car too.

I was never really a fan of the stick on badges but then I saw Bernd Wild's 328 (I probably just hacked his name badly) and it had the "Frenched in" or recessed badges and they just took on a whole different look. As luck had it, a friend who has "Car Guy ADHD" ordered a new Ferrari 550 and the badge kit... when it came in he opted not to put the badges on and threw them in a desk drawer. Six months later he sold the car and bought something else. Six months after that he found the badges and asked me if I wanted them. I remembered Bernd's car and how different the badges looked. I tracked down Brian Moore (who had done Bernd's car) to do the cutting and welding and my restoration project started.... six years ago.

Me too. Understand they aren't original, but I really don't care. I think they look great.

My Mondial came with that type also. Put one on the fridge, the other on a tool chest. Still, I wouldn't fault anyone that used them. I just prefer the original look.

I attached them on my car after a couple years I had owned it. I think they look very good on a black car. I had to remove them at the beginning of this year for the ASI inspection (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) because they want the car to be completely original.
I'm not sure my Ferrari looks better now, maybe I'll put them on again.

By the way: my car isn't a 328 GTS but a GTS turbo; can I post here anyway?

Traditionally, the SF shields aren't for "Ferraris" but for the Ferrari racing team.

My 328 is a Ferrari, but SF doesn't operate it.

I don't care if people think, "Oh look, a Ferrari."
All I care is that they think, "Damn, that's quick!" :D

Now if I could get warp power to the shields, to keep the SUVs away, ... ;)
