Give up your baby-bonus, family allowances, subsidised childcare, 'subsidised' private health insurance, company tax-deductible lunches / dinners, company tax-deductible cars etc etc etc? And has anyone out there done the figures to see what the nett result for the miners is given the 40% tax STRAIGHT rebate for abortive exploration work vs the actual increase in tax after the super-tax (which is only an extra percentage above a certain profit threshold)? Would be TOO funny if the tax (along with the rebate) was thrown out and they suddenly realised they'd thrown the baby out with the bath water!
