the truth of this technology is people are always asking "how do you turn this crap on ??!!!" what was wrong with going "hey, my appointment changed from 9:30 to 8:30 so I have to leave earlier" the rest is just a wankfest that few people have the time or inclination to want to emulate .. I know I could care less and I live with this crap on a daily basis with idiots not knowing how to load the updates, select particular options, etc ... all too hard for the average joe blow
the truth is I just get sick of telling people how to turn this stuff on and how to configure it Nobody wants to read the instructions ..... classic was yesterday, guy trying to load a wireless controller that manages all the access points in his company (this thing does EVERYTHING for him when set up!!) guy : can;t get this to work me : does it power up ? guy : how do you power it up ? me : see the big flipper switch with "ON" one side and "OFF" the other ? guy : yep me : humour me and try the ON side guy : ok, some lights are coming on me : so it's not BROKEN like you reported ??? guy : well it didn't work until I did what you just told me me : AAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH then we had to configure it, imagine the fun that was still, it keeps me off the street and causing trouble
Sounds like me getting on terms with Win7 in this new box. No manual and about 2 minutes of frantic clicking by the shop guy showing me its differences from XP. Just about got the screen saver sussed out! ROFL
