Oh I saw that episode, the same owner was selling a Ferrari F430 and the Mosler Raptor. How is the M12? Chris
Really? I actually didn't know that. Do you happen to have any photos of it there? Do you know anything else about it? Thank you. John
Unfortunately I haven't had much time behind the wheel yet. I travel a lot and most of the days that I have been home since buying it haven't had the best weather. I'm hoping for a sunny day soon. I drive all of my other modern cars in the rain, but for some reason I can't bring myself to do it with this one. At least not yet.
I've only taken these two photos of it since it arrived home. (no, the black one isn't mine; it was just visiting that day) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
sure. I have a complete photofile of this car with dozens of photos starting from the production through previous ownerships.
Beautiful cars John! It's nice to see a Miura in the collection too! And honestly, I as far as not driving in the rain, I would probably do the same. When it's 1 of 14 (and 12 surviving), I would take good car of that. But please let us know how the driving experience is when you get the chance! These aren't very good pics, but I took them at the Detroit Auto Show back in the '90s. It was also there with the Stars and Stripes car. This is the picture the should use on an updated "Justification for higher education" poster. Great collection
Thanks for the replies and all the comments guys, I appreciate it. Yes, I'm looking forward to having a chance to drive it a bit. I'm happy to post comments afterwards, but I can't promise how soon that might be. I love having the Miura. I wanted one since I was a kid and finally bought one 4-5 years ago. As much as I like yellow cars, I actually do have other colors also, even though it doesn't look like it from these photos. I recently purchased a warehouse to move my collection into because it's currently scattered in several places. I'm having some renovation work done in it right now; but when I get everything moved in, I'll post some photos. Probably won't be until spring realistically. Chris - thanks for the auto show pics. I appreciate it. So, should I be embarrassed that until last night; I didn't even know my car was shown there? Vectorfiles - thanks for the PM. I'll get back to you today.
I have to admit that I loved that poster when I was a kid. I don't know that it applies to me though because I barely made it out of high school and never spent one day in college.
John, you should be ashamed of yourself. How could you not know that your car was shown at the Detroit Auto Show? Haha just kidding man. People will say that you must have a college degree or you won't amount to anything, but I think that's BS. Perhaps they should make posters like that that say, "College. Don't bother going." Chris
Yes, M12, chassis 001 and 002 side by side at the world premiere in Detroit, January 1996 more photos: http://vectorfiles.fortunecity.com/-M12yllw.htm http://vectorfiles.fortunecity.com/-M12-001.htm http://vectorfiles.fortunecity.com/-M12-002.htm a brief video section with M12-002 at the 2011 Concorso: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-WX99exkpQ#t=10m45s
Here's a video someone posted of a yellow one revving loudly. Chris [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81uZEf5iLNw[/ame]
There was a yellow M12 in St. Louis a few years back at Erwin Schwartz's, a local sales/service of high end cars. Never got a vin, and it had no plate at the time. This might have been your car.
Yes, that was M12-002. There is only one other yellow M12, chassis 012 which always comes alongside the flag car, chassis 001. I know the previous owner. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=139829554&postcount=32 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291646&page=2

I really want to go to that place in Ohio and see the two M12s that are there, but I need to find something else to do on the way. It's hard to justify driving 3 hours or more just to stop at a dealership and see 2 cars. Plus, it would really be a bummer if they didn't allow photography. Anyone have any ideas? Chris
give them a call and ask if they allow photo shooting: http://www.jeffsmotorcars.com/inventory.cfm?reset=true&vsearchmake=Vector&Showinventory=Used
My good friend just sold the only yellow W8 to a guy in Spain. Would have been a nice compliment to your car. Congrats on your purchase. I saw your car in person a year or so ago here in NorCal at the Los Gatos Lamborghini dealer. Looked very cool. I really think of you went with new wheels it would REALLY update the look of the car.
