I just picked up a case of Gilles Villeneuve commemorative wine (in honor of the 30th anniversary of his passing), with proceeds going to the Gilles Villeneuve museum. Not a bad wine it is. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sad pics. I remember that weekend well. It is actually a good thing that he didn't survive because he'd be basically a vegetable. I recommend the museum to anybody going to Montreal. PS: currently building a model of the 126C2
You can order online. However, I'm not sure that they ship overseas. Best you check with them: http://www.museegillesvilleneuve.com/english/_._.html
Love the name of the wine, when I was a kid building wooden go karts and push-racing down the street, my father always wrote the number 27 on the front.
Hanging over my home-office desk. The decal on the right is an original one from the 1978 Canadian GP. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A few years back, I was privy to some of Joanne Villeneuve's personal effects, among which was the trophy won by Gilles in South Africa 1979. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome. My fav Gilles memory is seeing him at the 81 German GP in Hockenheim. He sat in his Ferrari in the garage. I took a picture of him and the car and on the shot he just intensely stares right into the camera.
One more with Guy Lafleur. Supposedly this is a personally autographed pick given to The Flower. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually, no.27 was Gilles Villeneuve's number in 81 and 82 and that number is the one most closely associated to him by his fans. Don't remember any of my childhood friends idolizing Alan Jones
