Thanks for your quick replies ! Indeed, celebration will happen second week of september in Maranello I heard. I understood together with the end of the 55 GTO anniversary tour. What about this world tour throug 60 countries ending this very same we in Maranello ?
I'm not aware of any links. I got an email invite in early November, ostensibly signed by Sergio Marchionne. My cars are entered into the personal ferraris section of the Ferrari website. I suspect that's why I got the invite. It sounds like a cool event, but between the cost of the event and cost of shipping my car over for 5 days, I'm not sure it is worth applying. Still mulling it over. Application due mid-December and notification of acceptance is in January.
Here is the program... http://images.ferrari.com/cavalcade/Cavalcade_Classic_2017_presentation.pdf?MID=2300196275&UID=4067908808&utm_campaign=161104_CAVALCADE_EN+%28cavalcade+-+rif.+Stanzani%29&utm_content=4067908808&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_term=2300196275 Ray
That's the one I got, but it came as a PDF attached to an email, along with an application form. I just realized something odd - I got the invite at my business email address, which I never use for anything Ferrari. All my other Ferrari emails have always gone to my personal email account. This has me somewhat baffled. Has anyone here done anything like this before? I have not, being newish to owning a vintage car. Not sure what to expect if I were to consider applying.
We are booked to go on the Ferrari Owners Club GB 50th anniversary tour, Maranello London to Maranello Italy, in May next year, to coincide with the start of the MM, 12 days, staying in pre arrange chateau's etc with luggage carrying service. There may also be something special arranged with Ferrari, but this has to be confirmed.
I am not sure at this time Matt. I have somehow persuaded my wife to come and I think she will feel safer in the F12, but we will see what I can do, I think she was feeling sorry for me, as I have had a bit of a rough end to the year health wise!
Thanks for info Paul. I assume you mean 9 & 10 September. Funny that the Ferrari Owners Days 2017 organized by Passione Ferrari are booked at SPA on 11 & 12 Sept. ..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Several official European Ferrari Clubs have confirmed the 70th Anniversary Celebrations will happen during the 2nd week of September 2017! For those who are good at German, Italian and French: Ferrari Club Deutschland Ferrari Club Italia eventi 2017 https://www.theferrarista.com/forum-ferrari/topic/8995-evénements-du-70ème-anniversaire-de-ferrari-en-2017/?page=5 Apparently many hotels in and around Maranello are already fully booked.
Dang! I was just thinking the same. Oh, not that I would be invited or anything, but I could imagine anyone who would turn up with their Ferrari from strange places would be somewhat welcome? As I did already purchase the Goodwood Revival tickets, grandstand badges, etc. as well as flights and hotels for me, the missus and some friends I will most likely just take part on the local FOC celebrations about one month earlier. Cheers, Pekka T. Fin.
Great, This is the informations I was looking for ! Hotel has been booked for the we. Any confirmation about arrival of GTO 55th anniversary tour in Maranello the we after (September 17) ?
Hi, Since you are living in the NL I assume you will visit this show next week ? Themes 2017 - InterClassics Maastricht
I am pretty sure Mel will visit the Interclassics, as the main theme is 70 Years of Ferrari! Europe is really preparing itself for several Ferrari celebrations with the official Ferrari Clubs, Dealers... and of course the final apotheose in Maranello, in september. Meanwhile, waiting for a fine exhibition, also for 70 Years Ferrari in Antwerp, Belgium: http://www.antwerpclassicsalon.be/en/showthema/belgian-racing-victories
Indeed, Antwerp is one more Ferrari celebration this year. Thanks to all F-Chatters for posting all activities related to the Ferrari 70 anniversary (official & non-official) in order not to miss anything !
Will the event (Sept 8-10) be open to public or exclusive to owners? If open to public, where can i purchase ticket to attend the event?F FYI, i am very familiar w/ both Modena and Maranello after visiting the two cities on few occasions. I believe the GTO anniversary tour is exclusive to GTO owners if i am correct?
