    If anyone is interested in a very early 400GT,fully restored to original color combination "St. Vincent grey - tobacco interior",please send me a pm. The restoration will be finished in april. For real interest persons, i can share photos from the restoration process. The work is done by several very specific italian Lamborghini workshops which are since many years in touch with classic Lamborghinis. The restoration was supervised by Valentino Balboni.

    You make us curious ;-)

    Is it a large rear window car 400 GT, or a small rear window car 400 GT 2+2?

    Marcel, your huge amount of effort in creating the Registro is much appreciated.

    Some updated info for you on #0358 : is was originally Azzurro Fiat metallizzato with Nero interior when supplied to Europe in 1966 but was changed to silver by Ross Therrien in 1970s shortly after arriving in Canada and before going to Ken Browning, a founding member of Lamborghini Club of Canada. Following recent completion of a 3 year total strip-down and rebuild, it is now returned to original factory specification, with assistance from Cristina and Valentino.

    It is currently available in the UK if anyone interested wants to pm me.

    Ciao
    Martin

    Hi Olivier, since you know the collection, do you have any idea wich chassis number the grey/red 350 GT in the video can be? Looks like an early car...thought it could be #0104, but that car might still be in Switzerland?

    No these aerials were a popular retro fit and are simply a useful identifier...

    Definitely not the right steering wheel. You would think after all that labor that they would put in the correct steering wheel. Now you have to say, what else is incorrect?

    May I kindly ask, what is a real 350/400GT Interim?
    Is it a car:
    1) with Lamborghini trans installed instead of the ZF trans
    2) a car that originally had an L351 engine installed and later came back to factory for installing the L401 engine
    3) a car that originally came with the L401 engine
    4) a car that came with 350 body, 400 frame, L401 engine and Lambo trans?

    Interim does not seem an official Lamborghini specification. Changings were made during the production.
    Would it be better to use the term 'last edition' for the cars listed at number 4)?

    As you mentionned, there were many modifications from the 1st 400 GT up to the last 23rd 400 GT, so called by collectors as "Interim"...

    The 400 GT was a model offered by Lamborghini, despite the fact there is none factory brochure or documentation, but they are several publicity made by the period dealers/importers... following indications of Ubaldo Sgarzi, sales manager.

    The definition of a 400 GT is a car made by Touring & Lamborghini at the plant on "Linea Montaggio" :

    * 350 body & frame

    * L401 engine

    But there are several cars with a 400GT frame and a 350GT body

    they have exactly the same frame, no difference between 350 & 400... even the Islero has the same frame...
