You were the one to discover it! And I was lucky to buy it.

I am happy that this car made us meet each other!

    NO RESERVE PRICE....

that's what happens when you are forced to sell...

Adam Carolla, ex owner, had to sell all his Bulls in order to pay what he bought last year at Monterey, if I'm wrong, please correct me...

This purchase is a great deal for the buyer who got a wonderfull Islero at 2/3 of its real value...

Was watching the Mel Gibson Goldie hawn movie bird on a wire last night. About 5 to 6 minutes in there is a red islero parked in the background. Assume the scene was shot in the metro ny area around 1989.

Hello to all contributors in this link.
I am finding a lot of interesting information here. The feedback on prices is a bit optimistic though... i bought 6357 from Movendi in May 2016, the car was not sold by them in 2015 and I paid less than the noted 350 Euros. The value for insurance is 275. The black paint is okay but not splendid, so I had the car wrapped (i know, i know.. ;-) in a limited satin-gloss bronze pearl, eventually to be re-sprayed. The engine and specifically the super-complex ignition needed work, the car now runs better that a Ferrari - as it should. Dark red interior is amazingly beautiful. The car is a regular 400, at some point a previous owner made it look like the "S" which is ok with me. I am still looking for the regular owner's book (pdf copy is fine).

I intend to participate in the september 9 reunion in Limburg NL.
I participated in the "Aalsmeer Roest Niet" rallye in my hometown two weeks ago.
Will try to post some current pictures here!
Regards to all and to Olivier the master of Islero knowledge!

And the wheels have been restored, my favourite tyres mounted: Avon CR6ZZ stick to the road like glue, available in the correct size 215/70/15. Lower profile wider drives a lot worse.

    Dear Islero lovers,

In 2010 I have organized the first European Lamborghini Islero meeting here in The Netherlands. We had 12 Islero's, 2 Jarama's and a lovely 400 GT 2+2.

In a few weeks time, on 9 september 2017, i will be organizing the second European Lamborghini Islero meeting. It really looks like we are going to break the record of 12 Islero's! Even cars from Denmark and England, impressive!
I have done all my best to contact many Islero owners as possible.
But if there are some other owners here that are interested to participate, please sent me a p.m, or an email at [email protected] and I will sent you more information.
Islero's and Islero owners are the main target, but we allow a few other Classic Lamborghini's as well. it will be a kinda private meeting, at a very nice location, but very low budget, for Vintage Lamborghini lovers. Ciao! Marcel

Here is some news from Lou:

Wow !!! Fantastic !!! That is an impressive list of friends and owners. Hope your weather will be great and all 13 Isleros arrive safely.

I’m working on my website right now and hope to have it all up to date by the end of Sept. This past couple of years has been very busy and I’ve fallen behind. Hope to fix that now.

    Your friend,
    Lou

    Hi again, Marcel,

Sadly, I did sell my beloved Islero two years ago. A fellow offered me such crazy money for it that I could not turn it down. After enjoying it for 26 years, 6096 was going to need some serious restoration of engine, body, and interior, which I could not afford to do. So the decision was logical, but painful, and I miss it every day. I’m still going to keep history and pictures, and the website.

    Your friend,
    Lou

I've advised Lou to become a F-Chat member, hopefully he will be with us soon on this lovely Islero Thread!

    Ciao!
    Marcel
