Hi all - back in the day before Lamborghini went for volume though the Gallardo and subsequent models there was a design study done for a revised Urraco which looked to my eyes at least like a junior Gallardo and a lovely looking car IMHO. I have one "photograph" of this although I believe it was a computer generated image and I'm pretty sure the work didn't go beyond this and perhaps one other design study - ASAIK no actual cars were ever created and all the design work was limited to studies of a digital nature. I would have loved this car to have seen the light of day with perhaps a V8 junior & V10 senior versions - still time moved on and the car was never to happen. I have attached the only pic I have but I know other elevations and pictures existed - perhaps a couple of others for this car and more of the later study which was in my opinion less elegant. Does anyone know of any additional images - I would love to see then all collated here for posterity. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You are probably right, although it could be argued that this motor could have been marketed as an espada with a v10 or 12 and an Urraco with the V8 - The small(ish) 2 door junior supercar illustrated seems to fall between the 2 stools. No offence intended - I'd just love to see more pic of this particular vehicle!
This is 15072 the early boot badge car recently mentioned in this thread...For some reason A115072A has been stamped on one of the rear strut towers.
If you have the opportunity, go and drive them! The good ones are rare, but when they pop up, you have to be quick!

Hei, I watched the Top Gear's "Budget Supercars" episode and asked myself what happened to the cars after the show. Does anyone know the details of the shown Urraco before and after the production? Thanks, Martin
Is there a cross reference for commonly available points and/or condenser on the Urraco? (Single Marelli distributor) Thanks!

Hei, my car is painted in 'rosso speciale'. I found a LP400 which seems to be painted in the same colour than my P250. There is mentioned that the car has been manufactured at Bertone and the colour is 'Dino rosso'. The Amazo Effect: 1975 Countach LP 400 - An Early Exclamation Any thoughts to that color code? Martin[/QUOTE] The featured LP400 is 1120056 and is shown as Rosso K350 on the handwritten lists so I cannot say if this is the same as Rosso Dino or the colour of your car! Your car is shown as Rosso Spec[iale] on the handwritten lists. In my view 'speciale' simply means 'non-standard' and is not in itself a specific colour. I am pretty sure the colour of your car is Rosso Corsa. This is the colour that changes from orange to red in certain lights and was a standard colour for the LP400. The first RHD LP400 1120026 which was at the 1974 Earls Court Show was this colour. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144804409-post15.html I think that this was also the colour was used for Jota, the two Urraco styling proposals and Urraco Bob. There is a Miura colour code, Rosso Corsa, PPG 1.444.507 but I don't have the paint codes for the LP400 and so I cannot be sure if this one is correct for your car.
Hei Ivor. Thanks for your information. I looked for some pictures of LP400 painted in 'rosso corsa' and the color is different from my one. The Ex-Silvera LP400 I posted looked more similar to my one. In this article What?s OnTheDash of the World?s Fastest Supercar (1975)? Heuers, Of Course! « On The Dash is also 'rosso speciale' mentioned as the body color. I agree that they called it #speciale# because it has been no standard color. I would like to know why especially my car is painted like that from factory because it seem that this is the only one existing in this color. Do you see a chance to get further information about that in the archieves of the lamborghini factory? Who could help me with that? Best regards. Martin
one early pilot production car may also be rosso speciale . the 3 row vent car that was tested by fittipaldi in 73 quattroporte magazine
Since the appearance of rosso corsa changes colour in different light I think it is not possible to reach valid conclusions from looking at pictures. I shall try to find out more for you in May.
