i told them I'd sell the gtb right back to them as soon as they got me a spider allocation. Ie Id flip the gtb for the spider so they could make a quick $50K off me. That doesnt seem to matter either...

Get a used one with low mileage, save some money, and drive it to the dealer to collect back your deposit, or if you haven't given any deposit, drive it there just to tell them nicely to cancel your order.
I don't see any reason for you to wait longer. When the 488 Speciale is released (pretty soon), GTB will be at least 25% off msrp.

well, that aint happening for several reasons:
1- 488 speciale will be limited and difficult to get
2- dont know of any mid engined v8 ferrari that has sold for 25% off from dealers but I may be wrong.

These kind of statements undermine any credibility to knowledge of the brand. A 25% discount would mean a bare bones GTB would be selling for $195,000 in 1-2 years from widespread release which is less that some standard F430s out there. LMFAO

If anyone is looking I have a very nicely specked out 488GTB that will be for sale very soon with 1500-ish miles on it. Rosso Corsa, Nero interior, Goldrake Large Racing Seats with Red contrasting stitching. Carbon Everything interior and exterior, including rear diffuser and full Carbon front spoiler w/carbon water tank cover.

It'll be shown this weekend at the Concours d'Elegance(outside the Ritz Carlton) in Amelia Island this Saturday as well he VIP viewing area at the Festivals of Speed @ the Omni.

Maybe, but 488 is super soft by Ferrari standards in U.K. Lots of near new sitting around.

There are plenty of new 488's in US (or inbound unsold) that are not advertised and dealers still asking over sticker. It's a joke. 720 is looking better by the day.

YEAH! I finally got my 488 allocation. It took about 2 years (just under). My MSRP is $300K. Should have car end of July-early Aug depending on Aug break.

Ordered Rosso Corsa, nero interior, diamond wheels did some custom interior stuff---lg sport seats, alcantera inserts, red strip down the middle, horse stitched head rest, alcantera door inserts, red door handles, red inserts on part of steering wheel....

Planning on keeping my 458 spider-- at least I'll wait until after delivery of the 488 and wait and see which I like better.

I was on a waiting list for a year, then I was given an allocation on February 10th. My car arrived at the dealer yesterday. Hope this helps.

Did your 488 have a MSRP around $340K-350K?

Reading the above couple of posts is definitely confusing. I got my allocation and the order was officially in Ferrari Modis on Feb 15th. I went 10G on April 5th. I went 10 Red April 14th, which is when the production cycle starts. The car won't be here until the end of July. This was identical timing to my 488 GTB.

Just weird why other cars are getting here so quickly.

Maybe something to do with your spec. While I had a lot of options, they were all from the standard options list. Also, depending on your chosen color/paint.

Yah I put my order in back in late October/early November but my allocation wasn't up until January. My car is on the boat now so I should get the car in late June or likely early July. My paint (triple layer) added about 4 weeks I'm told. I know some people fly their cars over which obviously speeds up delivery to the US significantly.
