I sold #3129 to well known London based Dealer Joe Macari on the 08/14/2012, who intended to restore it.
I bought #3129 from Joe Macari in April 2016. After the Miura 50th Anniversary Tour, Polostorico have undertaken a year long restoration. They've done an amazing job completely rebuilding the engine, diff, carbs, electrics, brakes... All non-Lamborghini parts have been changed back and engine upgraded to SV spec. Not that there was a huge difference to start with, other than splitting the sump. Also having all the tyres changed and rear rims back from SV spec as they run too close to the wheel arch to be safely used. Will hopefully have it back in the next couple of weeks for me to enjoy Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This was one of my favourite. If only I could have had a copy of these to put on my coffee table at home. I have way too many photos and don't want to flood this thread about my restoration Image Unavailable, Please Login
Create another thread if you prefer, but I am sure the guys don't mind Miura photos posted in the Miura thread!
Participated in a Lamborghini Club Italia meet last weekend and the entire Miura production run was represented: a yellow Miura, a red Miura S and a brown Miura SV. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had an expert point out to me (in Arizona) that several body components did not have matching assembly numbers. He showed these to me on the car itself. I can't say of they have been corrected since but the price would indicate otherwise.
Thank you for posting one of my all-time favorite SVs, not least because its a very original example. Delivered on the 28th of July 1972 via S.E.A Automobili di Roma.
There is no such thing as enough on the Miura. Start a thread! Restoration threads are my all time favorite. Let me know if I can help in any way.
Two pictures from the Miura P400 from the Villa d'Este. The car was completely restored. The paint work was done by Cremonini, stunning result! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
New to Adrian Conan Doyle, 1968 Miura P400 3480. So many great classic Lamborghinis are being totally restored which can only be a good thing, here, in this short film, Adrian can be seen driving it in a spirited manner when he owned the car. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THtIleV3sfg[/ame]
