There are 3 sensors, one for each axis of rotation. Up and down (nose lift into air and dropping downward), this tells the computer if there is too much pressure in braking. Side to side, back kicking out.. as in turning of the car.. telling the computer that one side of the car is loosing traction, and thus to brake the opposite rear wheel. Lastly not sure if 3rd sensor is forward and aft acceleration or twisting for roll, too much deceleration and needs to correct the braking force. Its how the system in sport mode allows for more aggressive slip in the turns with tighter suspension.
Obviously you are missing the sensor that senses sweet tunes unusually coming from the speakers... Any thoughts on why and a fix?
Ding ding... Stupid installer, I think <=== me! Looking at thre wiring, it needs a harness to bridge differences between the a connections, as well as for the sub on the c connection. I just assumed the thing was plug and play to some sort of a standard! It looks easy, but isn't plug and play. The stock unit had speed sensors and reverse lamp wires... I just should never assume anything is as simple as it looks.
I was told by the dealer once, that newer 360s have revised wiring. Seems from these reports that he's right since all reports here come from earlier models
Do you think I will run into this problem with a 430. I'm looking to hook up the same head unit in my car?
Mine had a suspension fault light at some time in its service history. They replaced a vertical sensor. Alan
Ah yes, I almost forgot the sensor in the bottom of the front seat, it does two things, it measures your weight and the pressure from your rear pocket. This "wallet sensor" assesses the size of your wallet. Once a threshold is reached, i.e. it increases by 50%, the computer causes things to break in the car. It's otherwise known as the maranello conspiracy.
So I have the suspension light on after I installed an aftermarket alpine stereo. If I unplug the stereo, the light goes away. Any ideas on how to fix this gremlin.
Interesting....I get the light when I drive my car after having not driven it for a week or so....after a twenty minute drive, it goes away if restarted. I figure it's battery related.
No. just a replacement of the OEM radio with a newer Alpine single din unit with bluetooth. No amp, or Subs.
I just had that light this spring. Hooked up to Leonardo - rear vertical acceleration sensor. $220 later, light gone and on my way. 30 minute repair
Hi Robert Do you remember the part# of the vertical acceleration sensor ? I've to replace mine as well.....Thanks!
i had the suspension light come about half a dozen times. Replaced battery and the light has never come back on
Hi Thanks for your reply. I just replaced my battery and the diagnostic tool points out an error in vertical acceleration sensor rear...this is why I jumped in this conclusion. P.S. I just figured out....the part# must be 232690
