I can't see what purpose the grab handle does, it's not as if every other sports car has to have it fitted to make it US legal.

Just to be clear. I agree 100% there is no major difference in the cars, be at from Canada or USA. They are all pretty much a homogolated vehicle. I was just pointing out for clarity that it is NOT one of the 25 US SPECIFIC vin cars.

I have as well brought down Canadian cars, there is no issue with that. The Canadian cars of modern due have a stronger 8mph bumper on them, DL as well as a different child infant seat attachment as well as the obvious for the Speedo and odo.

I see no issue with bringing a Canada car to the USA. I am not sure I agree with the "maintenance" issue. Yes, it gets serviced etc etc..but it is still a machine that needs to be exercised. There are way to many seals that if not exercised dry up and root away.

As for the tires, again, yes there are solutions, HOWEVER there is NO EXACT OEM replacement for as it left the factory, no question abut that period.

I will also add, that most know me as a driver...I just could not let a car sit myself..it was built to be driven and enjoyed...and thats what I do with mine. I never have and still dont see the extra value in a "low mile" car versus the pleasure you get in driving it.

    Like the old saying,

"You sure do not touch your beautiful wife or girl friend....just to leave it for the next guy"

Sort of a guess but I believe it was tied to the passive restraint system - don't know how but it may have satisfied the "padded knee panel" requirement.

Your knee is so far from the dashboard on the passenger side, you wouldn't of hit it anyway.

So in summary those who think they know best have given the passenger something to smack into!

Yet another of the many USA DOT appendages forced upon the the Lamborghinis we love, none of which we need or want.

In my mind, getting "serviced" means checking and replacing dried-out age-sensitive seals whether the car is being driven many or few miles.

That's it, and then they made a grab-handle out of it.

You know these government agencies, always looking out for us!

From what I know, three shades of black were used for the SE, of which two are metallic:

    Deep Black (231524)
    Deep Metal Black (210500)
    Nero Metallizzato (224521)

Of the US cars, 012 and 026 are in Deep Black, 043 is not black but purple. I believe five cars were delivered to Canada and have Canadian specifications; of which two are titanium, one red, one metal black and one purple.

    Thanks for this.

So a Canada-spec car is 1 of 5, that's really cool, @ 5 times as rare as a USA-spec car to be precise.

With 089 being the only Nero Metallizzato (224521) car delivered to the Americas (non-Eu/ROW) and with practically delivery miles, its quite a special & unrepeatable car.

The Nero Metallizzato (224.521) Diablo SE30 with just 120 miles, is now available via Private Treaty.

Priced very fairly, the car comes with all books, tools & ancillaries.

This is literally an unrepeatable opportunity.

I would post up a photo of mine as it sits right now, but it's my barn covered in dust and actually looks like a genuine barn find. Auction houses would be queuing up to sell it as it is!

The Miura-homage engine cover slats are a nice touch.
