What better example can there be than the arancio pre-production car first seen at Turin in 1970 since we know the colour is original - but as always does the image reflect the actual colour? But certainly arancio and rosso corsa are like chalk and cheese... Btw in this pic I can see TEN differences to the production cars. Can anyone identify them all? Image Unavailable, Please Login
1: Exhaust with two ends 2: rear bumper design 3: roof vents 4: position of reg. Plate 5: vents above exhaust 6: boot lid Sign 7: some kind of tubing in drivers cabin 8: Color of louvres / Engine cover 9: no michelin xwx tires ? 10: ? The rear tail lights fit as bad as on the production cars. Concering color arancio, See the Urraco in the current inventory of Tom Hartley cars. Talk soon, Martin
I agree the Tom Hartley car is a good example but it has been repainted... You are on the right track - have another look at your own car... Best not to award points/prizes until all submissions are in! Meanwhile this makes me think we should have a quiz thread on Fchat! Actually, now that I look again i can see ELEVEN differences!!! How sad is that?
Hmmm, really difficult. 10: roof antenna for radio 11: windscreen wipers position? Maybe the bodywork of the rear end arches behind the wheels? It seems different. But I am not sure. I have no further Idea. Martin. Talk soon.
Urraco / Espada colours. I don't know from which year this colour chart is (I also did not reflect about it). But maybe you'll find what you were looking for. Same to Martinkdf. Sorry but I failed in making the attachment visible. Please doubleclick below. Image Unavailable, Please Login
it might be easier this way.... to spot the same parts in the production cars. the whole body, glass, bumpers, interior and wheels are different. just a few carry over fiat parts are the same
Yes everything was different and those cars kept changing later on. My list just covers the items visible in that early image of the rear of the orange car... 1 Miura style roof vents 2 Lamborghini script on boot lid 3 No Lamborghini script on rear panel 4 Continuous rear bumper 5 Long number plate below bumper 6 Different number plate lights 7 Long lower grills 8 Stepped base of rear panel 9 Single exhaust pipes 10 Pirelli Cinturato tyres 11 No boot lock Btw the "tubing in the driver's cabin" is part of the frame of the window slats...
Eventually the cams have arrived! We've been waiting for them for ages... Phew! Image Unavailable, Please Login
