I was binge watching Jay Leno's Garage a few weeks back and Jay said something I found very true from my experiences. He stated most cars he has purchased that were advertised as restored in fact needed a proper restoration. It does not make economic sense for a dealer to do a nut and bolt project, they can't get their money back was his claim. I agree completely. There are exceptions of course but for the most part make them look pretty and sell it.

Does anybody have a photo of Jean-Claude Mimram with 4088? Or at least of Jean-Claude Mimram with any of his personal Lamborghini's (countach,...)? Thanks,
So nobody has a photo of a Jean-Claude Mimram (or even his brother Patrick) with/in a Miura (or a Countach)? Thats sort of unbelievable...
Of Jean-Claude there are some from the 1982 Monaco GP but not of Patrick. There is one of Patrick with a red countach at his house at Lac Leman, but that was not his own car, one of the Codeco SA cars.
Patrick is the ultimate International Man of Mystery and few images exist of him anywhere, he is quite a reclusive gentleman, preferring to shun the limelight. I had to coax him into sending me a current image of him which we could use in the July 2017 Classic & Sports Car magazine article for the interview section. He has some personal images that I hope to get one day, but the best chance we have of a good image of him and a Countach will be the next time he is here in the USA - hopefully.
