Agreed, it should be interesting to see from the standpoint of how buyers perceive 400 values these days. Very clean car with a quirky color combination that might raise someones eyebrow.

The values for a 400i in Europe and in the US are two very different animals. I won't be surprised at all when this car breaks 6 figures. After all as far as I know this is the lowest mileage, most complete, and most original car which has come up for sale in years.

    Agree! Mileage/originality/manual/lhd.
The car looks really nice/new and got everything but the carbs...
If it has been service and driven regularly it deserves the 6 figures.
Will the Stones touch bring premium??

Well, They have had several cars and some with a real "history" :)
Keith Richards Bentley sold for £763,100 at Goodwood Revival - Telegraph
But if I had the money I would pay what it needs, for sure!!! 👅👅👅👅👅👅👅🤘

"Application submitted" for classiche is worth how much?
Looks nice enough but I can't say much nice about interior color choice. Would it kill them to remove that Mickey Mouse device attached at the battery?
Could probably vacuum a grand worth of blow out of the rugs.

Fascinating since he has owned since new and is a one owner car. Not like a car where the celebrity owner was five owners and 25 years ago!

The color combo is not as bad as I expected and I could probably live with it. I've seen worse, much worse.

The Richards and European market sale price will have close to zero relevance to the U.S. market price indication.

Will be following though for sure.

Interesting coincidence that I was listening to "Almost Hear You Sigh" on the radio when I came across this thread. Maybe it is a sign from above!

My first 400i was owned originally by golfer Lanny Wadkins so I can deal with that aspect!

This car should be worth $125K all day long given it is a 5 speed, one owner and low mileage.

The Keith Richards ownership could double or triple the value.

Prices achieved at auction for mundane goods owned by important celebrities can be mind blowing.

Steve McQueen ownership has been known to add as much as 10 times to the value

Still can't determine how much of it is the Keith Richards factor though. A clapped out wreck would get a higher than market price just because.

I wonder if the Richards association warrants much of a premium. It's not like the car was a favorite - he probably didn't personally put 1,000 km on the car. Also, he's not associated with motor racing, films, or driving - like McQueen.

It'll get a celeb premium but I don't suspect a big bump. I'll bet KR forgot he even owned this car. Almost a third of it's accumulated miles were done on it's maiden voyage by someone else.
Rod Stewart's car got more than it's worth. Every car Elvis Presley ever was associated with as well, even ones he gave away and perhaps never laid eyes on.

The 1972 Dino #03354 previously owned by Keef was sold in 2014 at auction by a Japanese collector for Euro 294,200 (US$ 408 K).At the time i think it was not a massive mark up on non celeb cars.

The 400i might struggle to reach the estimate, could even become a real 'Beast of Burden' for the lucky buyer :)

The 400i just hammered at 300,000 Euros plus Buyer's Premium.

    Stunning.
