Amazing how all the nearly identical variations of 911, brings the money they do, not saying i do not like some of the models, but compared to the amazing Countach? Strange indeed ,but the market decides.

Will be interesting to see what this goes for.

Without vehicles like these there would be no Lamborghini supercars, no Muira, no Countach, no Diablo. Building tractors like these gave Ferruccio the money to start building cars.

I think these tractors are a significant piece of Lamborghini history. I absolutely love my 5C. Great fun to drive. Build quality is surprisingly solid – they’re literally “built like a tank”! Always a real talking point as nobody has ever seen one before.

So, that's three anni countachs that settled at about the same
    Price.

Seems like that may be a consensus on market value

    Prices down from last year.

  10. Maybe wrong, but I'm seeing more actual sold than reserve not met.

  11. You have a cool toy, and your right about the heritage. I know of an old 1920's Caterpillar crawler sitting in the woods. Big project though.

I would 'guess' it depends on the car and the buyers.

True, you will always find bargain hunters who search for sellers who have to move a car.

You also have buyers who want a perfect car with no stories.

Buyers may have concerns when purchasing a car from the UAE. Some 'dealers' in the UAE have listed stolen vehicles for sale. Perhaps a holding company would help protect the buyer.

And that fact that many UAE cars have MAJOR issues. They were most commonly driven hard and put up wet...

I have seen 2-3 cars with sub 1000 miles with mold, etc.

  16. I would think exposure to a sandy environment being the biggest problem.

Agree on the UAE, i think the point made here is ,dd and fi anniversary sold at almost identical prices Pebble beach 2017, actually the fi a tad higher. To me the anni ventured inn to the new world ,wich perhaps explains the price thing.

I didn't keep up with all of them, but it seemed like there was a handful of limited edition 911s that we don't see much of in the US from the RS America to a 993 GT2 originally listed (I think it was removed last minute, though). Couple 993 Turbos as well, but their values have jumped a lot & I don't see a whole lot listed anymore; owners likely holding onto them now. :)

1988½ Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole @ Bonhams Goodwood
    Goodwood Revival, Chichester Goodwood, UK
    9 Sep 2017
    Lot 233
    Estimate £280,000 - 350,000

    Rosso Siviglia/Magnolia
    Registration no: F922 OYR
    VIN: ZA9C005A0JLA12410
    Engine no. 12410
    Mileage: 51025 km

    *Landmark Lamborghini model
*The world's fastest car in its day
*One of only 14 5000 QVs in right-hand drive
    *33,000 miles from new
    *Well maintained
    *Huge history file

An extremely rare, UK-delivered Countach 5000 QV, chassis number '12410' is one of only 14 right-hand drive cars supplied as the '1988½' model, which featured the Anniversario version's side skirts. '12410' was supplied new on 3rd August 1988 and has covered a mere 33,000 miles from new. It was owned for a number of years by a Dr Keith Barnes, before being sold through Furlonger Specialist Cars to a Mr Morris, then through Furlonger to the current vendor.

The car is finished in Rosso Siviglia with red-piped magnolia leather upholstery and brown carpets, and retains its original engine with matching ('12410') number. The original Alpine stereo system, spare wheel, and tool roll are still present. The Countach has had only four previous keepers and has been serviced and maintained correctly, unlike many other examples. For the last five-or-so years it has been looked after by Furlonger Specialist Cars, including a lot of work making the air conditioning function properly.

'12410' comes with a huge history file going back to when the car was ordered, which contains MoT certificates and tax discs dating back to when it was new. Still awesome by today's standards, the Countach has lost none of its presence since the day it was launched. '12410' represents an exciting opportunity to acquire a highly original and unmolested example of this iconic Italian supercar.
