Interesting to see if the cam specs/swiss-fi.is also the case on the qv .
The Swiss cars have the normal Euro spec camshafts. You can always regrind the cams to that spec though or advance the timing.
LOVE these details! please do not remove it is a period application, ALPINE and cool...it only add to the 80ness of the car
I was looking at some old threads I started back in 2009, thisone went for less than $80k. I wish I had more knowledge and experience back then Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car went through an extensive ground up restoration that included a color change from black to what I believe was its original color silver. I believe when it was acquired for less than $80 it did not run nor move. It would not surprise me if the restoration of this car was well in excess of $100K.
Big weekend in the U.K. Big events at Blenheim Palace and Hampton Court Palace on the same weekend. At Blenheim, there were TWO RHD Lamborghini Countach - a white LP400S, which is the 19th of 19 RHD LP400S worldwide, always white and with one owner until recently. Yellow car is the 10th LP5000S in RHD. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Robert, correct me please if I'm wrong, but I think the bronze/dark blue/yellow car you are mentioning is the LP400S 1121320 Detail on 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S 1121320, but, the car at Blenheim registered 304 LOW is in fact an LP500S, a different car, no? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is #1121400 The interior is actually two-tone "Bianco/Blu", slightly visible in the episode Golden Triangle. Here's the car in 2001: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yep. I've got them mixed up. The car at Blenheim is the yellow LP500S, not the yellow LP400S. >>>>>using the new fchat site, I have edited the post above so it is correct.
I looked at this car back then when it was offered for sale. It was the first Countach I ever drove, it was also a basket case of a car at that time. However I have been told that its condition has been improved over the years.

Does anyone know the VIN of this QV from the 87 Chicago auto show? I wonder if the car stayed in the USA. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is the Rame Colorado Metallizzato 1121098 spotted being driven yet again in Monte Carlo very recently. The owner has now replaced it's UK registration (P 245 RBA) with Monaco plates 355 X. If we recall, this is the super-low-mileage original LP400S that sold for @ $1 million at auction that many predicted would never be driven. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of Monaco, here is a Spring 1982 image I have never seen before, of one of the Formula 1 Grand Prix Pace Cars, this one with a rear plate which says "Garage Palace 331 W 06 Cannes". Image Unavailable, Please Login
Customer QV - The owner (I'll omit his name) was a nice fellow who owned an F40 and TR as well. Image Unavailable, Please Login
